These are great numbers, but think my feeling on this now is sort of “alright, now put up.” If ESPN thinks they’re this awesome, let’s see some more TV windows and games next spring.

2 weeks ago I got this DM:  “Hello, I am looking for some info on a PLL card my kid pulled this weekend in SLC. Not really a collector but let each of my kids grab a few packs at the archers game. It’s a Brennan o Neil gold auto 1/1. Not his rookie season but from 2025.. Any idea the possible value? “ I told him how I’d value it & asked if he wanted to sell it, which he did. Less than 48 hours later I brought him multiple offers and we agreed on a sale to a big BO collector.  The card arrived yesterday and will be off to its new home Monday. This is my 3rd Brennan O’Neill #1/1 sale and getting your hands on awesome cards like this is always very cool, but what makes this deal special is the story and the handwritten note they included…. A father bought his son a couple packs of cards at a game and now, they’ll forever have this story about how those packs became a new stick & helmet for the son and a bedroom refresh for his sisters.  This is what matters. This is exactly what it’s all about.

Princeton (@TigerLacrosse) walked out onto the field in the 2nd half greeted by the 2001 National Championship team . . . Trophy in hand. Talk about motivation to finish the job. @NewhouseSports 🥍🐅

"Sidewinder" ... and to think, I had recovered so well from last season that I had nearly forgotten about "sidewinders".

1000% convinced this is the concerto cadenza of boomer-slop. The literal last stop on the human timeline where a retired tech-illiterate mid-manager can leverage his "respect the game" and "reasonable prices" to obtain the last non-Viagra mega-boner and ride into the sunset.

From @TheAthletic: At the Masters, concession prices are as low as $1.50. How can Augusta National afford to sell a sandwich for less than a gallon of gas? We explain: nyti.ms/4chmtTi

Insanity. Gotta hand it to @RJKaminski and the social team, they find some unique ways to get eyeballs on the PLL. Staging this is *chefkiss*. Lol.

Someone bought an old PLL storage locker and is going to auction off the items. Incredible.

If #1 vs #2 in late March can’t be on television than might as well make this a club sport all around. What an absolute embarrassment for the sport if this goes without a stream. We should be asking how to get this on national tv, not how do we get a stream. Truly embarrassing.

As of now, NO ONE has picked up the No. 1 Notre Dame vs. No. 2 Richmond matchup in Evanston... Because it's at Northwestern (who uses Big Ten Network and neither ND/Richmond are Big Ten programs) no broadcaster/streaming service has yet to pick this neutral-site game up.

This time last year, we had no idea what was next for the @wlacrosseleague. Now that we've got a full season on the way, the end of the Championship Series felt completely different. Here's my new @Inside_Lacrosse piece on the bright future of the WLL. insidelacrosse.com/article/n…

Say what you like about how influential the Beatles were, and I do genuinely enjoy their music, but their longevity was non-existent compared to the British bands who followed them. Charitably, they had a seven year run. A blink of an eye, even in today's pop radio rotation.

I owe so much of my life to the sport of lacrosse. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to watch enough of it anymore to string together coherent thoughts about the game every week. I love @thecreasedive. I love @mnestler40 and @d00gs. And I love everybody who tuned in.
