Just yesterday I saw this talk by @bryan_hunter about his project called waterpark. They are using bitwalker's hash ring library for a very interesting use case. And they are veery conservative with adding dependencies (which is also good).

Five years ago today: Interviewing Tony Hoare, Joe Armstrong and Carl Hewitt on the past, present and future of concurrency models. Humbling and mind blowing is an understatement: youtube.com/watch?v=37wFVVVZ…

The most interesting and impressive technical talk I've ever seen was by a developer working for a company I'd only barely heard of. He and his team are just very quietly doing extremely impressive, impactful, cutting-edge work. youtube.com/watch?v=pQ0CvjAJ…
Thankful to @redrapids and @gardenertate for @GigCityElixir 2023. They work hard to bring good things to people and also to bring out the good in people.
I loved hearing stories from everyone. I had missed that dearly since 2020. Peace. #myelixirstatus

Insanely inspiring, both technically and the human impact software can have. Literally tearing up throughout the talk

My kid sister @chhunter21 is now a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine — class of 2023 UT Knoxville. Congratulations Hope!
Ran the Nashville half-marathon today!
I sometimes run this distance alone, but never in an event with people. Turns out marathons are big, wholesome, city-spanning, parties. I understand why people get addicted to this.
As a result I spent the first half zig-zagging to pass people which was frustrating, but at the end I realized I had experienced a one-in-lifetime undeserved ego boost: in a 13 mile race with 11,000 runners I passed over 5,000 people and was not passed by a single person.
