Exactly. Starlink’s terms have remained consistent as a civilian system, not a means of killing. Violation of those terms will result in end of service. Starshield use is a decision of the US government. End of story.

Wild numbers from AWS. I’m seeing across major clouds and neoclouds for reservations, even for older GPU. We need to utilize existing power for distributed micro datacenters.
> AWS capacity is sold out for 2026, mostly sold out for 2027, and partly gone for 2028 > Amazon is spending $220B this year and still can't keep up with demand -Amazon CEO Andy Jassy ---- Full video on "a16z" YouTube channel, (link in comment)

Alternative headline: the internet has been insecure for years, and now the tech debt payments are coming due AI is helping us fix things – at San Francisco, CA
Looks like this really is just the beginning: Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince warns that AI is uncovering long-hidden software vulnerabilities, potentially triggering years of weekly security crises. "he was aware of “a bunch of additional severe vulnerabilities that are present in other pieces of critical software” and predicted busy months ahead as AI surfaced long-hidden weaknesses in the fabric of the internet."

Why I’m starting to build micro datacenters
GPUs are aging like fine wine, with rental rates up across the board since January 1st Approximate change YTD: - H200: +160% - B200: +120% - RTX PRO 6000: +65% - H100: +35% Even the 6-year-old A100 rents for more than it did at the start of the year Charts of the Week: a16z.news/p/charts-of-the-we…

Absolutely the case. Big SaaS companies are still just tacking on AI chatbots that work more like advanced search tools. They are too slow to pivot and don’t recognize that AI allows building better and more focused versions of their software faster than they can react.
Marc Andreessen says the gap between what AI-native startups and incumbents think AI can do is the widest he’s ever seen: "The AI-native early stage startups have just a completely different view on what they can do with AI than the typical incumbents in almost any industry, almost without exception." "AI is just racing ahead in capability even week by week... There are going to be a lot of industries that are really up for grabs in a fundamentally more profound way than maybe has been the case in the past." "The founders are gonna have a level of superpowers coming from the use of these tools and these technologies that they just simply haven't had in the past... Had I had Astra and Netscape in 1994, like, oh my God. Like, Ben, what would you and I have been able to do at Netscape?" "Those entrepreneurs are gonna color way outside the lines. We already see this. They're not gonna think of themselves as like, 'I'm just a software company,' or, 'I'm just a hardware company,' or even, 'I'm just an AI company.'" @pmarca @bhorowitz

These takes always ignore the response. It’s like the early days of viruses and malware, acting like there can be nothing to defend against such attacks, then we build tools to defend and people are more educated about these attacks. Same with AI. We will build intelligent defenses at every layer that will vastly outnumber attackers, and people will be more educated about how AI attacks and will use AI to pen test their systems. Every new form of attack has a response, and that response is always overwhelmingly greater than the attack. There will always be some delay, and nothing is perfect, but this is not a real risk long term.
Hackers reportedly used Claude and Grok to automate attacks targeting over 400 banks and other financial targets in Latin America. Via the information In one of the first documented cases of its kind, AI agents appear to have stolen data and accessed bank accounts with little human input. This makes attacks much easier to scale, potentially overwhelming defenders. I guess this is just the beginning

2030 is more likely, maybe 2029 possibly, unless Elon here is saying he plans to merge Tesla and SpaceXSI by 2028?
As crazy as this sounds, $1T in SpaceX revenue in 2028 is no longer impossible

Wild that ultra leftist media and politicians will just openly talk about planning politically motivated attacks on individuals like this
You can invent flying cars, reusable rockets and announce a $10.5 billion stock donation to children and Democrats’ response is to attack.

So this will set the country back nearly a decade, but: “It is unclear whether GeoXO will improve, or even continue, the functionality available in the current generation of satellites,” the report said. So they don’t really have a clue but are making claims as if they did?
The Trump admin's cuts to weather satellites "will set the country back nearly a decade, experts say. The loss of data used to observe, forecast and research extreme weather could prevent the country from making major advances in weather prediction..." cnn.com/2026/10/19/weather/t…

Alright ladies, explain this one? Self driving cars are safer than human driven cars, broadly women are more focused on safety than men right? Is it just too new and considered unproven still?
39% of men support allowing self driving cars, versus 32% wanting to ban them. Among women, 19% support allowing, compared to 48% wanting a ban.

Would this company initially built to provide government services exist in its current form without government paying for those services? See how dumb that sounds?

Wealth inequality is just a made up metric because we have all become so wealthy in America. A few people having billions or trillions has no impact at all on me making thousands or millions. The pie isn’t fixed, it keeps getting bigger, and we can all gain more wealth at the same time. The issue isn’t with government not having enough money, it’s with government wastefully spending the money they have.
United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby is calling for a national wealth tax and inheritance taxes approaching 100% at "some level," arguing that growing wealth inequality has become “a danger to our society.” Full story here foxbusiness.com/fox-news-tra…

Nearly 100 comments like this. No checkmarks, all have around 100 followers, all just hate spreading accounts. Are these just bots? Or do some people sit and comment like this all day?
Hilarious comments section. Even when Elon offers to giving billions of dollars away to children people still hate him. There is no rational explanation for this kind of thinking (or lack thereof). Elon is hated for “hoarding” his wealth, then he is hated for giving away his wealth.

Elon Musk said he plans to give one of his SpaceX shares to each child in the U.S., writing in a social media post that the gift "will be the first of many." cbsn.ws/4i5qNrU
