Itβs not often that a person gets the chance to follow their passion!
I just wanted to send out a quick thank you for all the messages and notes of encouragement today. While the election result was definately not what we wanted, I appreciate the kind words.
Also, as of writing this, the winner of Ward 12 is too close to call and likely will
need a recount. I want to offer my congratulations to either Sarah Ferguson or Mike Jamieson on their win today.
I also want to thank my family for standing behind me and encouraging me every step of the way. When I decided to run for city council in the spring, they were 100 percent on board and I couldnβt have considered this without them. Becky has been my rock through this and learned more about politics and people true nature more than she probsbly ever wanted to. It was crucial to me that I showed Kyron and Austin that you have to stand up for what you believe in and take risks in life.
I learned a lot during this campaign. A lot about myself, a lot about my friendships and a lot about life. It was truly and eye opener for me and itβs amazing to learn some of these lessons at 48 years old.
While I am disappointed that I let people down by not winning this campaign, I am proud of what we were able to accomplish. We had a very small donation base and zero volunteers, which is unheard of in a campaign. In fact, Kyron was my only volunteer ( and huge thanks to Jaxon for helping lit drop) and I am extremely proud of how hard he worked and how passionate he was.
Thank you to everyone that had the courage to support me publicly, voted for me, helped by sharing my content, taking a lawn sign, donating to my campaign and encouraging me over the past 5 months. I will never forget it.
I am not sure of what my next steps are yet, or where my next adventure begins.
Thanks again! It was an experience of a lifetime.

My god. David Eby is a year older than me?? I thought he was way older. Maybe just because he seems so boring and old. π€£π€£π€£
Eby is just barely hanging on to his seat. If he loses, does he still get to keep his $10 daycare?? π€£π€£π€£ #BCElection2026
Wow. @globalnews is calling the election. BC Cons for the win.

OK. Here's a summary of tonight's Alberta Prosperity Project meeting, with Mitch Sylvestre doing most of the talking.
Sylvestre denies he and Jeff Rath were fired from the organization, claiming Tanya Clemens and Chris Scott lacked the authority to remove them.
He accused Danielle Smith of betraying separatists and warned that alienating independence supporters could hand the next election to the NDP.
He's aiming to mobilize 1,000 independence supporters for the upcoming UCP AGM in Calgary, with plans to elect four or five sympathetic provincial board members who could help trigger a leadership review.
Another organizer noted three UCP constituency associations have already passed motions calling for a leadership review. She alleged UCP president Rob Smith was working behind the scenes to get constituency associations to pass letters supporting the premier.
APP supporters are being encouraged to buy UCP memberships, attend constituency association meetings and seek positions on local boards.
Sylvestre didn't ruled out forming a new political party if independence supporters are pushed out of the UCP. He also flatly rejected suggestions that his efforts could split the UCP and help elect the NDP.
"Who split this party up? Danielle Smith split this party up. Period. End of conversation."
And perhaps the most revealing statement of the evening came when Sylvestre explained why separatists should join the UCP:
"If you're buying a UCP membership, you are not buying it to support the UCP. You are buying it to support our cause for independence."

Whoops!Β
The NDP forgot to take the A.I. prompts out of their βBig, Bold Health Care Planβ before they posted it online.
Itβs no wonder no one takes the NDP seriously.
If you need a break from the referendum tweetsβ¦ here is pic of me and my Uncleβs pet racoon. Somehow my dad thought this would be a wonderful idea for a visit in 1979 hahaha. #yyc
