nauglefcs.com/obituaries/mar… My sister’s Mass of Christian burial is on Monday. She loved Jesus and He shined more and more through her as she moved toward death. Please continue to pray for me as I miss her so much.

I am Gen X. I waited for the Scholastic book fair. I ordered Sea-Monkeys. I owned a mood ring. I scratched every scratch-and-sniff sticker. I collected cereal box prizes. I saved Bazooka Joe comics. I bought invisible ink pens. I believed X-ray glasses might work. We grew up before online shopping, and somehow still managed to buy a whole lot of junk.

I am overwhelmed by the prayers and grace that you are giving. My hope is to reply to each of you individually when I have the strength to do so. I feel crushed but i know she is okay. Be assured of my gratitude and prayers for each of you🙏🏻

Over 25 million views - and she named the store lol.
Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out 👎

If you recognize this little wooden face, there's a good chance your childhood happened long before toys needed batteries, screens, or Wi-Fi. Who remembers playing with these?

GenX doesn't need a midlife crisis. We’ve been emotionally preparing for the apocalypse since elementary school. 😂

Chiefs win. Raiders lost. Broncos lost. Chargers lost. Bills lost. Bengals lost. You literally couldn't ask for a better football Sunday as a Chiefs fan. 4-0. #ChiefsKingdom

My dream Gen X retirement community isn't a golf course or a luxury resort. It's a fully renovated 80s/90s shopping mall. Half the building is apartments. The other half looks exactly like the mall we grew up in. The Waldenbooks is now a massive library where you can spend hours getting lost in books. The food court is part of your meal plan, so you can grab an Orange Julius, a slice of pizza, Chinese food, or sit down for a proper meal at Shoney's whenever you want. The movie theater plays classics every night. The arcade is free and packed with Pac-Man, Galaga, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong, and every cabinet game we spent our allowance on. Sam Goody is still there. You can browse CDs, listen to Bowie, The Ramones, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, or whatever you love. They even host monthly dance nights for anyone who still remembers MTV when it actually played music. The Sharper Image has massage chairs you can reserve whenever your back reminds you that you're no longer 25. The pharmacy is still an Eckerds. Blockbuster is fully operational. You can rent movies, video games, and spend 30 minutes wandering the aisles before choosing something you'll probably fall asleep watching. There's an aerobics studio offering Tae-Bo, Richard Simmons, MTV's The Grind workouts, and every fitness craze we survived the first time around. There are fountains everywhere, a lazy river because we've earned it, and plenty of benches where people can sit and talk instead of staring at their phones. Every morning we go mall walking before the stores "open." Every evening we meet friends at the food court. No algorithms. No endless scrolling. No influencers. Just books, music, movies, arcades, friends, nostalgia, and the feeling that for a few hours, it's 1995 again. Honestly, I'd put my name on the waiting list today.

Father Mychal Judge was a Franciscan Friar who served as Chaplain for the New York Fire Department. While staying in the lobby of the North Tower to offer comfort, absolution, and last rites, Father was the official first fatality of 9/11 after the tower was hit with debris from the collapse of the South Tower. This was the final homily he gave to the NYFD the day before dying in the World Trade Center. Never forget the priests who will face danger to give us the necessary sacraments.

Every year on or right before 9/11, we show this video to our students. It’s not only powerful story-telling, it’s a reminder to a younger generation about how life altering 9/11 was for those of us who lived it. It’s only 10 min #themanintheredbandana

Some high school kids were talking and said “No way Gen X wrote 10-page papers without AI.” Oh, honey. We wrote them without reading the book…the night before they were due…by hand and in cursive. We are not the same.

Idk how to tell y'all gen z or whoever it is trying to gaslight millenials and older that we're making up that we watched graphic news footage of 9/11 all day long in classrooms, in store windows, at home, etc but we most definitely did. On every channel. Every. Channel.

Before the internet, these people would take your order, write down an address, and deliver a pizza to your home in less than 30 minutes by using a paper map like some sort of mystical land pirate.
