Matt Walsh calls this the most honest assessment he has read. You should all read it. And then maybe you will see what honesty requires and that both of these men refuse to do it.
Start with Vance's method. A team of data analysts obsessing over electorate composition, pollsters asked to explain the loss after it happens, a survey handed to defecting voters asking what would bring them back. This is the technique of a pragmatist. A man of principle could not care less about polls. He cares about ideas and whether they are right or wrong, and he would rather lose every election in his lifetime doing the right thing than win a single one doing the wrong thing. He holds a standard, measures his actions against it, and knows before the returns come in whether he governed by it. Victory means nothing to him if the price is his principles, because a victory won by abandoning what is right is a defeat in everything that matters. That is not what is happening here. These men are asking the crowd what it feels because they have no idea what is true, then adjusting their convictions to match the answer. Ayn Rand named this method decades ago. When men abandon reason as their guide, the opinion survey becomes their substitute for thought.
Observe what the assessment leaves out entirely. Not one word about tariffs, a tax on Americans that the Supreme Court struck down as unconstitutional and the administration reimposed under a different statute, running through two years of roughly 6% cumulative inflation. Not one word about roughly 30 government equity stakes in private companies, which is socialism practiced by the party that claims to oppose it. Not one word about a brand new universal entitlement, two trillion dollar deficits, or a 40 trillion dollar debt. "Focus on cost of living" appears as a polling answer with no causal analysis attached, because the causal analysis indicts their own record. The most honest assessment somehow misses every policy the voters threw them out over.
Then Vance's 4 conclusions which are out of context slogans which are meaningless as such. The reason we lost is the war. Half true and twisted. Hitting the regime that has waged war on us for 47 years was right and four decades overdue. What voters watched afterward was the goal line surrender, a so called deal championed by the appeaser Vance, who stood at Lake Lucerne praising the framework as the foundation for a final agreement while it waived Iran's oil sanctions and released $12 billion in frozen assets to a regime left standing, with our forces still taking fire in the strait. The failure is not that we fought. The failure is that we paid the enemy and called it peace while they still shoot at us to this day. And buried at answer four is the actual agenda, change our relationship to Israel. This disgusting faction of the Republican party that cannot define socialism while its administration practices it has one firm conviction, pushing away the only free nation in the region, our one reliable ally against the theocracy we are trying to buy off, just as Obama did. At least Obama dropped the pallets of cash for all to see.
This is why Republicans and Democrats keep winning in alternating cycles while freedom loving Americans lose a little more freedom each time. Both parties govern by the same premises, spending, controls, entitlements, state stakes in industry. Neither offers an alternative, so voters punish whoever stands closest to the wreckage while the wreckage keeps growing.
The pollsters then measure the anger and recommend sharper messaging, and Walsh pronounces the measurement honest.
Honesty is the refusal to fake reality. An assessment that evades tariffs, socialism, and a bought off theocracy while blaming the one thing done partly right is not honest. It is a crowd reading performed by men who long ago stopped checking their premises against anything but each other.

Understand the implications of what happened in Texas last night.
Gina Hinojosa has called on Gov. Abbott to end state & local cooperation with ICE & she can order that on day one.
Hinojosa voted against the 2017 SB 4 as a TX state rep. The bill was essentially a sanctuary cities ban and required TX law enforcement to cooperate with ICE detainers. She then voted against another SB 4 in 2023, which made it a state crime to cross illegally into Texas.
Should there be another border crisis in coming years, there will likely be no resistance from Texas at the border. No Texas DPS, no TX National Guard, no razor wire or water buoys, and no Operation Lone Star, which Hinojosa called a “dog and pony show” and “political theater”.
Remember when 15,000 Haitians surged illegally into Del Rio, TX in 2021 under the international bridge? That was only stopped because Texas DPS responded on Abbott’s orders and physically blocked further crossings by lining up their cruisers to form a wall. The Biden Border Patrol was caught off guard and offered almost no resistance, except for some horseback agents who were falsely slandered for “whipping”.
Additionally, because Republicans failed to pass any legislation codifying President Trump’s border security measures, if Dems take the White House in 2028, that Dem president could, if he/she wants to, reverse every single Trump border security policy immediately upon taking office because they were all done at the executive level, and they can order Border Patrol to go back to a passive catch & release policy like we saw under Biden.

You need to understand how Right-wing people under 40 view the Left.
When we think of Leftists, we do not think of Barack Obama or Ezra Klein. Yes, these guys are on the Left, but younger Millennials and Zoomers on the Right do not think of Leftists in their own age bracket as polished technocrats.
These are not the sort of people that make up our Left-wing counterparts that we grew up with, went to school with, or work with.
When we think of Leftists, the first thing that pops into our head are a bunch of disgusting, depraved, spiteful mutants who want to destroy everything around them as payback for the crime of being born.
We think of Discord troons that invaded our hobbies, Reddit mods who are drunk on the most insignificant power imaginable, that one girl from high school or college who became a literal Communist, and that friend or family member who cut off all contact because we refused to treat their mental illness like a status symbol.
We think of people who, if they ever became a majority of the country and actually managed to possess political power, would inevitably kill tens of millions of people out of blind envy and petty cruelty.
Younger people on the Right come across as impatient and anxious in their mindset and mannerisms because they understand what will eventually happen when these people succeed their Gen X and Boomer predecessors in the Democratic Party.
They know what is to come if their own generational cohorts on the Left actually take power, and they feel incredibly exasperated that it seems like none of their parents or grandparents understand just how late the hour truly is.

They tortured her in a bathtub filled with ice for hours, nearly drowning her over and over. She never spoke a single word. And decades later, her brother would name the world's most famous perfume after her.
Catherine Dior was born into French wealth in 1917, but the Depression erased it all. Then came 1941, when she met Hervé des Charbonneries in Cannes—a man who showed her that some things matter more than comfort. She joined the F2 Resistance network as a courier, carrying intelligence on German troop movements. Every message she delivered could save dozens of lives.
In July 1944, the Gestapo found her.
They beat her. They submerged her in freezing water until her lungs burned for air, pulling her up only to demand names, then plunging her back down again. The torture lasted hours, then days, then weeks. It was designed to shatter anyone.
Catherine gave them nothing. Not a single name. Not one location. Her silence saved countless lives, though it ravaged her body and left scars that never fully healed. Ravensbrück concentration camp came next. Somehow she survived that too.
When the war ended, she didn't reclaim wealth or status. She became a florist at Les Halles market in Paris, selling jasmine and roses alongside Hervé. In 1947, her brother Christian was naming his first perfume. As he debated options with his muse, Catherine walked into the room.
"Ah, there's Miss Dior!" someone exclaimed.
Christian's face changed. He had found his name.
The perfume became legendary—jasmine and rose notes that were, unknowingly, a tribute to the flowers Catherine tended daily. It was her story of renewal, bottled for the world. She spent her remaining years as guardian of the Dior legacy, surrounded by beauty and the quiet triumph of simply being alive.
The next time you catch the scent of Miss Dior, you're not just smelling perfume. You're breathing in the story of a woman who survived the ice and chose the flowers.

"They seem genuinely convinced they're members of some landed Southern aristocracy because they own a blazer, drink bourbon, and once stood near a chandelier. That's what makes Ole Miss arrogance so spectacular.
Texas arrogance is backed by money, academics, and championships. Alabama arrogance is backed by the greatest football dynasty the sport has ever seen.
Ole Miss arrogance is backed by a bow tie, a tailgate, and a deeply held conviction that putting on loafers magically transforms a Mississippi redneck into a member of the British peerage. They're not even pretending to be athletic royalty anymore. They've skipped directly to pretending they're actual royalty. The Grove isn't Versailles. Oxford isn't the Hamptons. And wearing pastel pants while getting hammered under a tent doesn't make you high society. It makes you a redneck with a dress code.”

I support a mosque being built anywhere in the US. I think it should be the goal of every American to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs.
To promote tolerance, I would also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque. We could call one of the clubs, which would be gay, The Turban Cowboy and the other, a topless bar, would be called You Mecca Me Hot.
Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork and across the street, an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called Iraq of Ribs.
We could also have a lingerie store called Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret and a liquor store called Mohammered.
All of this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us.
Yes we should promote tolerance, and you can do your part by passing this on. 😎 I did my part 😉or we can just send them back to where ever they came from.....

Old resurfaced video of Mamdani and his true intentions towards New York. These people are telling you exactly who they are.
I know several people who had cancer and they survived. So it is wrong to go around saying that cancer is dangerous. This marginalizes the cancers that are perfectly peaceful. Let us open our hearts, minds, and homes to Peaceful Cancer, and fight against the real culprit, Self-radicalized militant extremist Cancerism.

America is 250 years old.
9/11 was 25 years ago.
Ten percent of our history has come and gone since that terrible day.
A generation.
90 million Americans have been born since. Twenty-five percent of our people weren’t even alive when the world stopped turning.
They do not remember because they cannot.
So today we remember, those of us who can. We tell the story so those born too late to remember may know.
We call to mind the lessons, many of which have already been lost to time and decay, to conspiracy theories and cynicism peddled for money and fame and power:
That ignoring the world does not mean the world ignores us.
That competition between civilizations does not end simply because we claim the board is settled.
That peace is not the norm, but the exception, and is purchased only by strength and will.
And that a nation that sneers at its own mission and mythology will not long remain a nation at all.
That the barbarians are always at the gate—and inside it.
We mourn the unimaginable loss of that day, when our sleeping nation was jolted awake for a moment, only to doze again.
We pray that our eyes might one day remain open.

WHY I SERVED AFTER 9/11: A WARNING ON ISLAM
On 9/11, nearly 3,000 Americans were murdered.
I joined the military to kill the monsters responsible.
I deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 as an Infantry Rifle Platoon Leader.
It was the deadliest year of Operation Enduring Freedom.
I saw Islam up close.
My men and I fought alongside Afghan soldiers.
I respected them.
I would never want them living in my Iowa neighborhood.
I would never want them around my wife and children.
They beat their women.
They raped little boys.
It was culturally acceptable.
U.S. troops were told to focus on the mission.
We had women attached to my unit.
My soldiers had to protect them on every patrol.
Local men lingered around them.
They had no respect for those women.
They would have beaten and raped them if given the chance.
As a Platoon Leader, I ran Key Leader Engagements with Afghan elders.
Little boys served the tea.
Those boys had been sold into slavery and sexually abused by the men in the room.
I did not go to Afghanistan to nation-build.
I went because Americans were murdered, and somebody had to answer for it.
Now Islamists are invading America.
Not with planes this time.
With open borders and politicians too stupid or too cowardly to stop it.
Never forget 9/11.
I didn’t fight them over there so we could import them over here.

255 Muslim radicals now hold office at the federal, state, and local levels across 26 states.
There are 300 mosques in New York City alone and 4,500 across the United States.
There are 3.7 million more Muslims in this country than on September 11, 2001.
A Ugandan-born Muslim is the mayor of New York City.
The governor of New York has more photos of herself in a hijab inside a mosque than with the families who lost loved ones on 9/11.
A Somali Muslim House member who mocks 9/11 by jokingly saying “some people did something” will not even be censured by a GOP majority.
A Muslim with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood who thinks Americans deserved to die that day is a major party’s nominee for the U.S. Senate.
This country learned nothing.
🛑 Mamdani Launches Jihad Against Grieving 9/11 Families
The hijackers came to kill America in a morning.
Mamdani came to finish the job in office - slower, legal, and aimed at the families still standing over their dead.
TODAY at Ground Zero, Mayor Zohran Mamdani will walk onto the memorial of 3,000 Americans murdered by Islamic terrorists after those families begged him not to come.
Watch the sequence. Three moves. Same purpose.
🔺 First cut: Honor an al-Qaeda lawyer
Days ago, he signed an executive order creating a city “Day of Remembrance” for 9/11 victims - then handed the ceremonial pen to his chief counsel, Ramzi Kassem, a lawyer who previously represented an al-Qaeda operative whose brother-in-law hijacked the plane that struck the Pentagon.
He used a 9/11 remembrance document to honor a man tied to the network that carried out the massacre.
🔺 Second cut: Today he will show up anyway.
Families and first responders asked him to stay away. Petitions. Outcry. Giuliani. Pataki. People who still bury pieces of their dead. He is coming anyway.
That is the point.
Islam has a long history of planting victory markers on the sites of its victims. Not always with a sword.
Sometimes with a ceremony.
• The Great Mosque of Córdoba was raised over a church after the conquest of Spain.
• Hagia Sophia - the crown of Eastern Christianity - was turned into a mosque.
• The Church of St. John in Damascus was overwritten.
• On Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, Al-Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock were built as monuments of conquest.
• After 9/11 they tried to plant a mosque on the ashes and named it the Cordoba House. That name was not an accident. Córdoba is the blueprint for Islamic triumphalism.
A mosque on the wound. A mayor on the memorial. A pen passed to the lawyer of an al-Qaeda client. Same language. Same message: we are still here, and you will watch while we inflict the pain....
They do not spare the grieving. They make sure the living feel it.
🔺 Third cut comes tomorrow.
After he stands over the names of the dead, the script flips. He becomes the victim. Muslims become the victims.
The families who begged him not to come become the problem. And the made-up word comes out like a blade: Islamophobia.
That word is not a shield for the innocent. It is a weapon used to silence anyone who names the ideology that murdered their loved ones.
Speak the truth about 9/11, and you are the bigot. Mourn your dead too loudly, and you are the threat. That is how the argument is closed. Not with evidence. With a smear designed to make you shut up.
Never Forget was a vow.
Today they are testing whether anyone still means it.
