A front-page poll on YouGov today is about support for XR. These polls can be very influential, shaping policy thinking & journalistic approaches. At the moment, 'strongly oppose' is winning. Let's change that! Pls share widely ๐โ

The @metpoliceuk may be in possession of superior force but in terms of imagination, they are clearly in deficit.
Here they are being co-opted into participating in a performance art piece about state censorship & the death of the right to peaceful protest.

Incase anyoneโs wondering, Iโm pro @ExtinctionR.
Iโve no desire to convince anyone on this and Iโve no desire to debate or discuss it.

Helicopters ๐ have been scrambled to the air and two police Vans equipped with telescopic facial recognition cameras mounted on it filming the very calm peaceful rebels dismantling their tents. Why have the police deployed so much resources for a peaceful camp site.

Getting myself arrested tomorrow just got a whole load easier.
The police have banned all #ExtinctionRebellion protests in London.
To me, this truncation of the right to protest intensifies the moral case for taking action.
My plans have not changed.

Why are The Met Police forcing the media to leave #ExtinctionRebellion sit-in at London City Airport?
Surely @NUJofficial will want to say something about this?
Whatever happened to a free press?

All media were forced to leave the sit-in at City Airport despite calls for us to stay from protesters. Some reporters threatened with arrest. #ExtinctionRebellion
