🗣️LGSMigrants stand in solidarity with our friends protesting at Harmondsworth detention centre 🗣️
Today we went to Harmondsworth & Colnbrook detention centres to show solidarity with the detainees. But there was another protest happening inside.

We are outside the Harmondsworth & Colnbrook detention centres in solidarity with the 100+ people inside protesting against what they call a "human rights crisis" of inhumane conditions, including denial of access to healthcare.

so now that the dust has settled — it sounds like the last person with membership in the group that allows them to turn on writes to config-management left while writes were still locked, and the identity management that would allow them to get into the group is down (:

Musk declares something he knows nothing about, is corrected by an employee who explains the problem, and then fires that employee and presents their ideas as his own. If this doesn't sum up his entire career I don't know what does.

Elon is just demanding random people on his website tell him how it works now
![Elon Musk @elonmusk
I was told ~1200 RPCs independently by several engineers at Twitter, which matches # of microservices. The ex-employee is wrong. Same app in US takes ~2 secs to refresh (too long), but ~20 secs in India, due to bad batching/verbose comms. Actually useful data transferred is low.
Popeska @Popeska
The batching is done server-side where the initial client request doesn't matter - GraphQL resolves the request across the microservices and then sends it back. The internal graph is the same regardless of request origin
Elon Musk @elonmusk 2h
How many serial requests are made by app to refresh timeline?
Popeska
Just one! You can look at your network tab in Chrome - it's this one.

"sex work is work" is a statement of labor analysis, that sex workers are workers who are exploited like other workers and deserve the same rights and protections as any other workers
"sex work is work" is not a value statement

you did not just layoff almost all of infra and then make some sassy remark about how we do batching
like did you bother to even learn how graphql works

Right now a disk is filling up on a server somewhere in some data center that a person who has just been laid off has been manually clearing every few days and when that disk fills up Twitter will go down.

Either that or he thinks blue-sky start-from-scratch code-it-alone projects are more worthwhile than maintaining a legacy codebase (such as the very valuable one he's just acquired). I expect to see that kind of thinking from interns, or maybe junior engineers.
