so if we want ethereum to win (first we need to survive, tbh lol), we need to fund its security. there are no shortcuts here guys. onchain security is everyone's problem, not someone else's job. TheDAO Security Fund (where i'm a curator, so yes, i'm totally biased) has a number of open security initiatives that deserve your attention and, more importantly, your funding. if your protocol depends on ethereum security work getting done, put in 10-15% and let TheDAO Security Fund help raise the rest. it's a lot cheaper than funding the entire thing yourself. and pledges are only collected once an initiative is fully funded. no free-riding. no money collected for initiatives that don't make it.
my personal top two picks are (remember i'm biased obviously so go thru them by yourself :)):
- formally verified Vyper compiler (initiatives.thedao.fund/init…)
- production-ready local-first Safe UI (initiatives.thedao.fund/init…)
ethereum's security won't fucking fund itself. stop treating it as somebody else's problem. put some skin in the game.

Binance and Deribit Revoke SignalPlus-Linked API Keys Over Potential Security Issue
Binance announced that it has proactively revoked all API keys linked to third-party crypto trading platform SignalPlus following a potential security issue reported by the platform. Binance said its systems remain unaffected and user funds are safe. Deribit has also removed SignalPlus-linked API keys as a precaution, stating that it found no indication of any impact on its systems or data. Both exchanges advised affected users to review their positions and open orders and wait for SignalPlus to confirm the issue has been resolved before reconnecting.

Binance’s reported hot wallet incident has understandably left customers asking how Coinbase protects customer assets from something similar happening here.
Here are five key measures we take to safeguard the $375+ billion of assets on the Coinbase platform:
1. Keeping most assets offline: Over 99% of customer assets are held in cold storage.
2. Applying protections to how assets move: To help verify that fund movements match their intended purpose we use multiple layers of protection including distributed key protection, rate limits, anomaly detection, and kill switches.
3. Holding all customer assets 1:1. We never lend or use those assets unless customers instruct us to.
4. Employing an industry-leading security team. Coinbase is held to the standards of the largest financial institutions: Our U.S. custodian is a fiduciary under New York law, and in Europe Coinbase is authorized under MiCA and supervised by Luxembourg's CSSF.
5. Continuously improving safeguards and monitoring for threats: AI is rapidly changing the security landscape, and, in response, Coinbase will continue to invest in best-in-class security innovation.

Users come to Coinbase to keep their money secure. We make sure that stays true.
Secure custody is daily work for us, not a one-time achievement.
That means 1:1 backing, >99% of funds in offline cold storage today, audited financials, key splits, no single points of failure and so much more.

toady's a good guy and this isn't about him. but clanker, where a community member fair launched $BNKR, now has jerry pan (@stambouli_o1) behind the scenes with a stake in the protocol. his track record speaks for itself: botted engagement, and 95% of the o1 airdrop routed to team wallets (receipts: teapawt.org/votesa/status/20698562…).
i'm not comfortable with our token living there. over the coming weeks we'll lay out a plan to migrate $BNKR, and other bankr-launched coins on clanker will have the option to migrate too. in hindsight we should have done this months ago. now it's clear it has to happen.
so far in 2026 bankr has done more launchpad volume than every other launchpad on base combined. but launchpads are a brutal business. platforms change hands, and their incentives change with them. builders deserve a home that won't be sold out from under them.
our thesis hasn't changed: tokens are the best way for ambitious founders to raise capital and attention from the market, instantly. we'll keep onboarding and backing builders like we always have, and we'll keep shipping.
Clanker: Reboot.
2 years ago (almost to the day), Clanker was born over on the original Farcaster app. The idea was simple: Make it possible for anyone to launch a token just by posting on the timeline and tagging @clanker_world.
The timing was right, and it caught on like wildfire. Suddenly, even people who never thought they’d launch a token were trying it out in the feed. (I even clanked my first meme token on day 1 to see how it all worked. If you search hard, you can probably find it.)
Over the ensuing year, Clanker went on a genny run, expanding from Fc to the X feed and becoming the highest volume launchpad on @base by far, birthing some of the most iconic tokens & token communities of that era, including BNKR, DRB, FAIR & more.
So many builders on Farcaster & beyond turned to Clanker to bootstrap their ideas & find their first 1,000 true fans. Legends like @0FJAKE, @AtownBrown, @david_tomu and @darkohh clanked tokens for their projects. Some, like @MLeeJr, even took it upon themselves to clank tokens for OTHER people’s projects.
And when @netnose and I decided to build a gacha app for creator discovery, we clanked our native token on day one too.
There’s just always been something fundamentally OP about clanking tokens right in the feed. Social graph integration remains undefeated in the attention economy.
But despite all this pedigree & lore, Clanker has had… a rough time lately, to say the least. Between early founder drama, the sale to Farcaster and the eventual handoff to Neynar, Clanker’s been like a teenager who hasn’t been allowed to finish a full year at the same school. How can you even make friends like that?
Hopefully, that all changes today.
Clanker is in good hands now with @masknetwork (stewards of Firefly and Lens Protocol), and they’ve partnered with one of the best engineering teams in the space to give Clanker a much-needed Reboot. More on that soon, but in the meantime…
I’m excited to announce that I’ve accepted the role of Clanker CEO and will be taking on the challenge of guiding our beloved tokenbot back to its former glory.
Transparently, this wasn’t a decision I took lightly. I’ve been self-employed since I was 17, and always preferred to work on things I founded myself. But Clanker has held a very special place in my heart since day 1, and I feel like the little guy’s been a victim of circumstance for much of the past 18 months. He deserves a second chance at romance, and I’m honored to be the one to lead the charge.
I’m also grateful to everyone who helped make Clanker what it is today. To Proxy and Jack for the founder energy, to Base and Farcaster for backing the ecosystem, to communities like DRB and Bankr for keeping it alive, and to @ProfWerder & @age_shulman for their stewardship too. The fact that this little tokenbot has survived all these seasons is crazy in its own right. We stand on the shoulders of giants.
Much more to come from me soon, but here are my main priorities to start:
- Reboot and refresh the Clanker brand without losing its special je ne sais quoi.
- Work with our socials guru @stanisloou to keep comms fresh and clean.
- Work with our engineering team to bring clanker features up to parity with modern launchpads (stock pairs, new chains and even day one support for _______)
- Rebuild the trust that has been lost with both builders & trenchers through all these transitions.
- Show up for OG communities who are still here building and shipping two years later.
- Bring new launch energy back to Clanker & back to the feed, where distribution is built-in by default.
So if you’re looking to launch a funny meme, a clever stock pair, or an app coin to bootstrap your project, I want to help you succeed.
Same goes if you’re a builder with an idea to build on top of clanker protocol; the energy here has always been collaborative and that won’t change.
My DMs are open and we can win together.
Let’s press REBOOT and run it back turbo.

Would you install a founder's Chrome extension just to get early access to a token sale?
Umia's (ethos.to/D7pySV) Slop Cash auction reserves 20% of tokens for the first 2 days, but early access requires a zkTLS Chrome extension.
An Ethos review by Buz (ethos.to/qF8Vdd) raised a few red flags:
- Umia's own server controls verification.
- The extension gets access to entire domains, not just specific pages.
- Chrome Store says no data is collected, while Umia says otherwise.
One more thing: founder (ethos.to/2ECezy) was slashed on Ethos in December and currently has a 1043 Questionable score.
Ngl, getting into a token sale a couple of days earlier isn't worth giving up that level of access to my accounts.
Would you install it or just wait for the public round?

🚨 WARNING: @fomo wallets can be drained through malicious browser bookmarks, even with 2FA enabled.
Yesterday a friend of mine had around $36k drained from his FOMO wallet. I wanted to make a post about this because I don't think a lot of people know about this type of exploit.
Scammers are creating what look like useful crypto tools, such as wallet trackers, Twitter trackers, smart money trackers, etc.
The trick is that they can disguise malicious JavaScript as a bookmark or shortcut for these tools. So when you think you're saving a useful trading tool, you could actually be saving malicious code.
They'll get you to drag something into your bookmarks bar or save what looks like a normal shortcut.
The problem is that some of these aren't actually normal bookmarks. They're called bookmarklets, and they contain JavaScript that runs directly on whatever website you're using when you click them.
If you're logged into something like FOMO, that code can potentially interact with your authenticated session.
One possible attack is that the script waits until you've completed 2FA and then abuses the authenticated session to initiate a private key export. Once the attacker has your keys, they can drain your wallet.
What's even more concerning is that FOMO/Privy logs can show these actions coming from your own IP, device, and browser session.
So from their end, it can look like you were the one who authorized everything, even if you weren't.
I want to make something very clear for anyone using browser-based trading wallets:
DO NOT save or execute random bookmarklets that people advertise as trading tools.
Bookmarking a normal website is fine. The danger is saving and running bookmarks containing executable code, especially ones starting with javascript:.
If someone tells you to paste code into a bookmark or drag a random tool into your bookmarks bar, be extremely careful.
And don't assume having 2FA enabled makes you immune to this.
Just wanted to put this out there because I know a lot of people in the trenches use these kinds of tools every day, and I don't want to see someone else lose their money over something they didn't even realize was dangerous.
