It’s not April fools day … A report has come out about Labours new Conversion Bill. It would be funny if it wasn’t seriously shutting down everyone else’s human rights.
The report warns that Labour’s proposed law is so broad it will criminalise (with prison terms of up to 5 years!!!)
▪️ Parents refusing to fund their child’s gender surgery.
▪️ Parents trying to dissuade their children from transitioning.
▪️ Primary school children questioning a classmate’s gender identity.
▪️ Even telling someone who identifies as a CAT that they are deluded because they are human, could be reported to the police.
The report says that this Bill threatens freedom of speech, religious belief, right to family life and the right to a fair trial.
The Government says it only targets serious abuse but er … abuse is already illegal.
Now watch as it creeps into everyday life. You will only say, think and believe what you are instructed 🤡

Nurses like Sandie should be allowed to do their job caring for patients, not subjected to witch hunts for defending their basic rights to privacy and dignity.
This ruling on her union’s failures to support her (not about single-sex spaces where she has already won) is disapppointing but takes nothing away from Sandie’s courage in standing up not just for herself but for women’s rights.
The usual suspects will twist the outcome to attack her after what she’s been through but she is braver and better than them.
Either way, the next Conservative government will put a stop to this nonsense. The NHS should support its nurses, and regulators should focus on what actually matters: professional standards and patient safety not silly fads.
The dismissal today of Sandie Peggie’s case against the Royal College of Nursing should concern every healthcare professional who believes in biological reality.
Bethany Hutchison, President of the Darlington Nursing Union, said:
“Sandie’s story shows why healthcare professionals need a union that understands their convictions before a crisis begins.
“The court’s decision does not erase the fears and lawful beliefs of nurses who believe their union may not represent them robustly when disputes involve biological sex and gender identity.
“Sandie’s experience shows how vulnerable a nurse can become when trust in union representation breaks down.
“Gender-critical nurses deserve representation from a union whose starting point is clear: biological sex is real, freedom of belief matters, and lawful single-sex protections must be defended.
“The Darlington Nursing Union exists to provide that representation. We will stand firmly alongside our members, seek early and effective resolutions, and defend them robustly if a dispute escalates.
"Our members should never have to question whether their union shares a commitment to defending their lawful rights."

If they included this definition of ‘gender’ into the bill all would be clear😳🙄
Replying to @thefempire50
I think this is the most concise, clear and accurate articulation of what gender is that Iv ever heard.

Defending trans ideology makes smart people stupid, scrupulous people unscrupulous, and honest people into liars. Once you see it, you can never unsee it -- and you will never not see it, because it is always, without exception, what happens.
It cannot be otherwise because defending the most self-evident bullshit ever enshrined into law is beyond the capacities of even the most brilliant person, and there is no way to persist in it without recourse to sophistry and lies. When you tell someone deeply invested in their own goodness that membership in the sorority of the good requires them to defend the worst nonsense of the age, the result is always a scandal of some dimension.
This is the most comically picayune of all such scandals, but it shares in common many key aspect of the great ongoing scandals that has left thousands of confused children sexually dysfunctional, sterilized, and on a medical leash for life (in addition to being explicitly aimed at the propagation of that scandal.)
A bill that is ‘exceptionally poor quality’.
Agree 💯! Mr Burnham take note! @Jebadoo2 @akuareindorf @KishwerFalkner @WRNScotland @ForWomenScot @HJoyceGender
1/ Akua Reindorf KC and former EHRC chair Baroness Falkner (ARKC & BF) have just, frankly, shredded the draft conversion bill with a particular focus on what a poor quality piece of law it is.

Nurse Sandie Peggie loses her case against the Royal College of Nursing.
Not a huge surprise, given how tribunals work, but in summary, despite the extensive evidence of the RCN’s bias against sex realist beliefs, she failed to prove that was why they didn’t support her.
The tribunal accepted that it never occurred to the RCN that her distress was because she held a protected belief
[that men can’t be women].
It’s 2026 and this is where we are with women’s rights in the workplace and their unions’ indifference and ideological capture.

My son is an electrician; he has a small company, employing a few people. He works on the tools, as well as chases contracts and manages workload. And carries all the stress. His company is only worth its current contracts. He is exactly the kind of working person our economy depends on: I thought Labour understood this.
“I don't think employers are working people.”
~ Labour Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Emma Reynolds MP.
And there is. A Labour government politician saying the quiet part out loud. This is what Labour really think. They have an inverted snobbery and disregard towards self employed workers and private sector businesses owners.

Stonewall oozes contempt and utter hatred towards lesbians and gay men and have done so now for years. Indefensible.
Stonewall has been engaging in recreational lesbian bashing for years with highlights including calling them sexual racists and a Supreme Court case next year about trying to get Allison Bailey sacked. The brass neck on this clown…

Instead of trying to understand the root causes of women’s psychological distress and treating them accordingly, the NHS is just lopping off their healthy body parts. Future generations will look back on this practice with horror.

🚨Breaking🚨
Last year, the NHS spent £6.5m on over 1,000 double mastectomies for women identifying as men.
British taxpayers are funding the mutilation of healthy body parts belonging to mentally-ill women.
These procedures must be eradicated.

Freya Papworth (@FreyaVanadiss) who is currently studying to become a psychotherapist, documents the experiences of gender critical students in training.
She describes how "In one paper I was given to present on, the author referred to biological sex as a form of far right and extreme religious bigotry, and introduced the concept of the male lesbian."
Freya warns "We are being taught an ideological framework that is proven to cause harm, and so those who are not exposed to any alternative view - or the actual scientific data on this topic, will inevitably end up perpetuating that harm in their practice, unaware that they are doing so due to the silence and ideological capture of our regulating bodies and training institutions. If the conversion therapy bill becomes law, we risk being criminalised for doing our job, and yet our training institutions are remaining silent which is, in my view, an horrific dereliction of duty."
This is the first time that any evidence has been collated on the student experience of those who understand humans can't change sex. 87% of the students interviewed reported a fear of speaking openly.

Absolutely bloody shameful. Scotland’s children get one education. When the results expose how badly they are being served, those responsible question the value of measuring them.
Read Lindsay Paterson’s Lessons from Scottish Schools Why Knowledge Matters. His argument is devastating: reforms promoted in the name of equality have weakened attainment and widened inequality.
Neglecting knowledge does particular damage to children who depend on school to provide what their families cannot. There is nothing progressive about leaving them knowing less.
I recognise the pattern from addiction policy. Institutions defend their reputations, while the ministers elected to hold them accountable supply the excuses. Evidence becomes an inconvenience to be explained away. Challenging failure becomes an attack on the supposedly compassionate principles behind it.
It takes extraordinary arrogance to preside over declining standards and widening inequality while still congratulating yourself on your progressive principles.
First they came for the teaching unions.
And I cheered.
Then they came for the rest of the McBlob.
And I cheered again.
Column on the rot within the Scottish educational establishment.
