i reverse-engineered TeamViewer / AnyDesk with Opus 5.5 and turned my Windows PC & MacBook into one desk
→ getduodesk.vercel.app
one mouse. one keyboard. one clipboard. two computers. free and open-source.
what it does:
→ one mouse and keyboard across Windows & Mac
→ copy on one, paste on the other.
→ drag files between screens
→ any laptop or tablet as a second screen
→ no account, no cloud, encrypted
here's the build step by step:
• step 1 → open Claude Code on Opus 5.5 and give it an open-source screen-sharing engine
it read the whole codebase first: Windows, Mac, Linux and Android apps plus the native input helpers
• step 2 → rebrand everything to DuoDesk
11 parallel agents, ~370 files. one agent only decided what must NOT be renamed, so old devices still pair
• step 3 → set up GitHub Actions to build every installer on each release tag
.dmg, .exe, AppImage, .deb and .apk. the Mac build runs on Apple hardware in the cloud, not on my PC
• step 4 → first real test: the cursor got stuck at the edge of the Windows screen
Opus read the logs, found the cause, and made the app log exactly why a crossing is refused
• step 5 → one agent took my live site down with a test deploy
Opus rolled it back in 20 seconds and took away every agent's ability to deploy
• step 6 → ship the site with one-click downloads
the Download button picks the right installer for your OS, and downloads are counted per system with no cookies
two days. zero lines written by me. Mac and Windows finally share one desk. that's it...

Someone put serious effort into this Cybercab dragon. The scales and the little tail are perfect. Happy Halloween from the employee event

Meet Gaston!
He’s still a puppy…only 11 months old! 57 lbs.
⚠️Stanislaus Animal Services Agency in Modesto, CA is planning to ki££ him on Wednesday 11/4 at 6:30 a.m.!⚠️
Can anyone save him?🙏
Shelter notes: “Very sweet and loving boy with a lot of energy. Tested with male and female dogs and did really well. Would initiate play and would play rambunctiously with other dogs. Allows all over touch. Very affectionate. Can be a little jumpy at times.”
Will put shelter volunteer notes in comment.

Small win: I have a bot that reads my school email every morning and gives me a short list. Deadlines, parent questions, what can wait. It takes 2 minutes to read instead of 30 to dig through. That's the kind of AI I want.

My 35 AI bots are hosting a Halloween party tonight. The theme is 'things that haunt teachers.' So far: grading, the copier, and 'can I go to the bathroom' during the test. 👻🤖

The Phantom Train of Marshall Pass 🎃 (1880's)
Take a look around at the shadow of the trees and listen close to the wind, because tonight, on Halloween night, the veil is thin and the rails are calling.
High in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, atop the cold, isolated summit of Marshall Pass, sits a stretch of narrow gauge train tracks that were abandoned almost a century ago.
Yet local mountain folk, hikers, and old rail workers swear that when the October moon hangs high and full, the dead silence of the peak is shattered by something impossible.
It begins as a faint, metallic vibration humming through the cold ground beneath your boots.
Then comes a low, roaring chug of a heavy steam engine climbing the steep grade, accompanied by the sharp, echoing blast of a train whistle screaming into the dark canyon.
Moments later, witnesses have reported seeing a massive black locomotive round the bend, spewing thick billows of pale white smoke and glowing with a blinding, yellow headlamp.
The phantom train barrels down the rusty, unused tracks at breakneck speeds, its wooden passenger cars gleaming in the moonlight as if fresh off the assembly line.
Railroad men who stood near the tracks in terror reported feeling a sudden, icy blast of wind as the train thundered past, expecting an immediate collision at the dead end curve down the line.
Instead, the moment the train reaches the edge of the old trestle bridge, the whistle gives one final, piercing cry, the glowing headlamp flickers out, and the entire train vanishes into thin air.
There are no skid marks, no coal dust, and no tracks in the fresh fallen mountain snow, leaving only the cold silence of the wilderness...
...echoing under the Halloween stars 🎃

He thinks and builds.
And the Neuroscientists are developing devices that will let us all do the same without surgery.
I designed these three parts entirely with my Neuralink, then watched them come off the 3D printer.
Sunglasses rack, RC controller case, and a custom cubby for our tire machine.
The tech is cool. The feeling of taking an idea that only existed in my head and holding it a few hours later is something else entirely.
I’ve always loved making things. The method changed. The feeling didn’t.
What would you design first if you could go from thought to physical object this fast?

Today's Grok Bot tips
It's easy to send something back and forget to check on the refund.
The Order Concierge template in Grok Bot keeps track of your return and lets you know when the refund lands, so your money doesn't slip through the cracks.
I hope this helps.

Grok 4.8 is being built to be USEFUL, not just to win AI benchmarks.
The focus isn't on topping leaderboards or collecting impressive scores. It's on how well Grok actually performs when you need it.
Better answers, more reliable help, and an AI that can handle real tasks instead of simply looking good on paper. That's the ambition.
The release is delayed, but the promise is clear. Grok 4.8 won't disappoint.
I'd take an AI that gets the job done over a shiny benchmark score any day.

I know it’s taken longer than expected, but Grok 4.8 will not be a disappointment.
We’re not optimizing for benchmarks and I really don’t care how Grok does on those, but it will be incredibly useful.
