In the end, all that will be left is harnesses. And a box of Twinkies, probably.
You're not behind. There's no secret everyone else has.
There's just the harness, and it's mostly all you need.
@burkeholland gives you a simple, repeatable workflow for GitHub Copilot.
Quite a packed week in the desktop agentic work environment space. @GitHub just released the latest GitHub Copilot App and oh my goodness, it's what I've been wanting for months.
I've only been able to use it for 24 hours and I'm in love.
A focused, GitHub PRs and issues centric experience with native worktree, browser integration, auto worktree port management and custom tools integration (think pnpm dev to start your server). And the list goes on and on and it's only the first release!
The flow to go from idea → issue → session → edit → previewing in browser → iterate → PR → merge is the best I've seen so far. It's progressive, not in your face.
Beautiful and elegant. A master piece, go check it out!
Even if you're a die hard Claude Code user, it's worth it.
A major milestone in bringing state of the art #agentic first coding to a broader developer audience. Think conversation first, #GitHub #CopilotCLI native (other agents supported too), isolated #worktrees, focused, low noise, git change focus, multi conversations UX. And you can always switch back and forth between the Agents and traditional view.
Congrats to the VS Code team for the hard work and this milestone!
VS Code was already used by millions of developers for agentic coding. However, the editor layout has traditionally been optimized for single-task and single-workspace workflows.
Today, we're introducing a new window to enable our users (and ourselves!) to work with multiple agents across multiple projects: Agents.
Now available in VS Code stable!

Claude Opus 4.6 is now rolling out to @code developers!
.@AnthropicAI’s Claude Opus 4.6 is now generally available and rolling out in GitHub Copilot.
Early testing shows Claude Opus 4.6 👇
➡️ Excels in agentic coding
➡️ Performs well with hard tasks requiring planning and tool calling
Try it out yourself in @code.

📣 Open call to agent builders: Let's read agent skills from `.agents/skills`, so people don't have to manage separate folders per agent.
Today we pulled the trigger for Codex to read `.agents/skills`. Goal is to deprecate `.codex/skills`.
Pls like/tag/RT for momentum.
Tired of manually connecting your #VPN every time you start working? I made a small #Hammerspoon #automation that does it for you based on your #macOS Focus mode.
30-minute vibe-coded hack with VS Code Copilot — but I’ve been using it daily. 🔧

🔮 HOT TAKE from @PeifferPol (@SierraPlatform):
"In 5 years, companies will invest as much in their AI agent as they do today in their mobile app and website."

An ex-colleague of mine, a staff-level engineer with a long record of building large-scale, high-impact systems at several top Bay Area companies, is quietly exploring new opportunities.
They’ve led complex projects end-to-end, mentored teams, and consistently delivered results in fast-paced and well known name public companies and large startup environments.
If you’re looking for a deeply experienced engineer who can design, build, and scale systems that matter, feel free to reach out and I can connect you privately.
🔥 It’s SF Tech Week, and while there’s no shortage of amazing events, AI Show & Tell this Wed stands out.
We’re bringing together founders & engineers shipping real production AI agents, and the lineup is inspirational.
💡 Expect to be wowed by talks on:
• Proactive AI, systems that anticipate your needs before you ask
• Emotional AI, models that understand tone, empathy & human intent
• How human–AI experiences are starting to feel truly human
🎙 Chloe Duckworth & Shannon Brownlee, Co-Founders @ @getvalenceAI
→ Emotion Models for Large-Scale Voice Interaction
How Valence scales emotion detection models that bring empathy & nuance to AI voice systems.
