I just find it sad that ppl actually believe if you don’t “contribute” to fandom thru drawing or writing etc. you’re in the bottom rung and don’t get a say in anything. Since when did personal enjoyment become something so serious like identity and social hierarchy
hey so as an fan artist, i am incredibly thankful to the people who love just consuming the content we create, they are just as important to keeping the fandom spaces alive

If you are contributing nothing to the fandom, no edits, no art, no fics, no headcanons, no cosplay, no discussions etc then you might want to think about what makes you so entitled to disrespect the people who ARE making the content.
I do not buy the whole "I'm an Indian minor 🥺 and I just scraped gdocs" card, not even for a second. You can't get ppl's drafts, anonymous, orphaned, deleted works by "scraping" gdocs.
I bet my left tit that ru were somehow involved in this whole thing.
this whole ao3 situation made me realize how a lot of people are actually just not very smart, and gullible too

call me crazy but the “apology” posted on ao3 dot life from ganesh the minor from india + the new copycat site claiming to be archiving works of black content creators feels like a disgustingly cheap psy-op designed to portray poc as scammy, opportunistic and exploitative

‼️COULD THIS AI SCRAPPING WEBSITE BE THE PEOPLE WHO HACKED AO3?? 🤔 Connect the dots w me: they monetize fics via AI audio-fics, enrage you & then require your AO3-linked EMAIL for takedowns/payouts. What did AO3 say Could be compromised? EMAIL DATA. Isn't it all very suspicious?

My little tech/bank security background is screaming *not* to follow the procedure mentioned. AO3 doesn’t publicize your email, therefore this site shouldn’t know which email is linked to your account. Highly possible this is a scam to hack AO3 accounts while they’re down!

i am realising how many people don't actually enjoy creating and suddenly the amount of ai in fan spaces starts to make sense

people are not going to like hearing the reason behind this "i need to get something back for contributing to fandom spaces" mindset but its capitalism

if I had to choose one post about sanji that will go down in history i’m choosing this one
i do love sanji a lot but i hate that he has this stupid pervy gag sm because he is otherwise one of the best written characters in one piece

People saying AO3 readers are unemployed is so funny when the reality is most of us are using AO3 specifically to cope with the tragedy of being employed
