“Cracking”, “smashing”, and “beating that shit up” are all rape culture language because consensual sex demands mutual enthusiasm and these words doesn’t reflect that
Tbh if u refer to someone having consensual sex as "giving it up" im not listening to anything ur saying bc that terminology is gross to me

i hope the cornell survivor stays anonymous and protected. i hope shes surrounded by an amazing support system and love. i hope she wins and i hope she feels a semblance of justice when they all go to prison for what they did to her. i hope she takes every penny from that school.

A lot of men are saying the Cornell woman has no proof. Congrats, you've figured out the big problem with rape cases: Unlike most other crimes, there often simply isn't much proof beyond the woman's word. If a person is mugged, no one's gonna argue they voluntarily gave up their wallet. If a person gets assaulted, no one's gonna say they were into that. But dudes text other guys "Free pussy" & "You can just whip your dick out"? People are gonna argue she was into it even if she says she wasn't. And I freely admit false rape accusations exist. I don't pretend they don't. But how on earth is a woman supposed to prove rape if her word isn't enough & all too often, the crime scene of consensual sex looks the exact same as rape? The answer is she usually doesn't. Less than 4% of reported rapes, sexual assaults, & child sex abuse allegations in the US ever result in a sex crime conviction. This % doesn't surprise me at all, cuz not a single woman I know who's been raped had her accuser go to jail :/

i often think about this quote from her book
thinking today of Chanel Miller, the artist and writer who was the victim of sexual assault by Brock Turner at Stanford in 2015. i revisit her victim impact statement often. and i wish we could say things have changed in the 10 years since her assault

On the *same day* the Cornell Seven drugged and raped Jane Doe, Cornell banned four students (including the President of Cornell @jvplive) from campus for three years for nonviolent, pro-Palestine protests. The same @Cornell officials let the rapists off with apology essays.
HOW DID A UNIVERSITY SUSPEND PROTESTORS AND NOT ALL 7 OF THE GUYS WHO ÐRUGGED AND R@PED A GIRL FOR HOURS AND HOURS!?!? JUST WOW

the moon could never be disappointed in you. the moon carried you in her cradle before you were born, and will continue to hold you long after you pass.
does the moon know I’m trying my best or is she also disappointed in me

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The sensational claim recycles 2019 results from a small pilot study on experimental photodynamic therapy; HPV cleared in 100% of cases without lesions among the 29 women but only 64.3% with lesions (57.2% for lesions alone). ipn.mx/proyectovph/co… pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36773299/ snopes.com/fact-check/eva… saude.abril.com.br/medicina/cient…
