watching so many people get one-shotted by a nathan fielder into sympathizing with the sociopath lady who only speaks lies and deceives everyone she meets, and you understand how theranos was able to get so many backers

Noticed how these people have been silent on Trump’s government going after Ilhan.
Rep. Ilhan Omar will move out of her Washington, D.C., home that federal agents searched last week, she said Wednesday, noting that attention brought on by the raid has made her feel unsafe there.

NEW AD: Have you seen these anti-Talarico attack ads?
Elon Musk paid for nearly all of them.
The world's first trillionaire knows if he drags the most corrupt politician in Texas across the finish line, Ken Paxton will owe him everything.
@ElonMusk: Texas is not for sale.

Center Forward, a dark-money group focused on moderate politics that was very active in backing Haley Stevens this summer, put $1.8 million into the super PAC behind Susan Collins this month, per new filing.

See how she connected it to shared values. See how she framed it in a way favorable to herself and trans people simultaneously. See how she didn't spend 10 minutes clearing her throat over sports
Trans voter to @AOC: Trans people in America feel like they've been abandoned by the Democratic Party, that we are a losing issue, that it's not worth defending us. What do you say to that?
AOC:
churning out the same article over and over again...
for decades the rule was: any criticism of israel makes you an antisemite. now that nobody is afraid to criticize the genocide ethnostate, they use their "jewish identity" to shield themselves from criticism

“My own belief is that relative numbers of mentions on social media doesn't reliably tell us much about a writer's beliefs”
Thankfully The Atlantic's editorial priorities make that quite clear. By my count, that's more than one piece a week on AES, Piker, or both since late July
Replying to @mehdirhasan @mattyglesias
Sure. You made a point of counting the number of times that Matt has mentioned different people on X. My own belief is that relative numbers of mentions on social media doesn't reliably tell us much about a writer's beliefs or the effect that they have on public discourse or anything else important. But you treat it as though it is significant for some reason. And I am wondering what your theory of the case is. Do you think this is significant because it reveals something about what Matt believes? If so, what? Or is your concern an ostensible effect of relative mentions? If so what? Or is there some other significance I am missing?
two weeks ago you made a huge fucking deal about a single biden meme. you wanted to center yourself in this conversation, so why are you mad that we are giving you the attention you so desperately crave?
What I find meta about this whole discourse is @mehdirhasan attacking everyone for talking about a streamer in California when he constantly asks people about him and then pushes out the videos. I pointed this out in my conversation with him at Georgetown when he asked me about Piker. Seems kinda hypocritical
what's this "19 year old voter's" name and how many republicans has she worked for in the past year
Illuminating exchange with a 19 year old voter in Detroit, worried about @AbdulElSayed’s name. @AJEnglish #Midterms2026 #Michigan

Boosting for @neeratanden and @AJentleson . SoCal poll was a fake pollster related to Wedgewood that had Haley Stevens outperforming Abdul in the general election. I hope you guys keep the same energy for this fake pollster as you did for Wedgewood.

socal strategies, which has just been confirmed to be another fake pollster, was behind all those early august polls that showed abdul losing to rogers and stevens beating him. i expect all the people who made a big deal out of the wedgewood poll, will stay silent on this one

The new “progressive” Democratic position—that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and enforcing apartheid in the West Bank, where settler terrorists run rampant with government and military support, yet we shouldn’t impose an arms embargo or support the Palestinians’ right to resistance—is completely incoherent and indefensible.
