Just ran my second-ever park run thanks to @RRRunnersUK! Loved it - but would love it even more if @parkrunUK made it fair for women like me. At least I can 'vote with my feet' for fairness. @mara_yamauchi @wsusportsunion @SportSEENuk @WomensRightsNet

The 1% regret rate in gender medicine is the biggest red flag of all. The strongest possible indicator that research in the field is garbage. Activists expect us to believe that a man having his penis inverted, which creates an open wound that must be dilated for the rest of his life, has a 1% regret rate. That women who have appendages made out of their forearms sewn onto their groins — a surgery with astronomically high complication rates — has a 1% regret rate. That adolescent girls having medically unnecessary bilateral mastectomies at an age when the desire to be a mother and breastfeed is incomprehensible has a 1% regret rate. Absolutely impossible. Precisely zero chance this could ever be true. The explanation is multi-fold. First, no one loses all their friends and gets death threats for saying that they regret knee surgery. Second, "gender affirming" clinicians do precisely zero follow-up. Just chop off healthy body parts and disfigure genitals and then send the person off on their way. No concern for what comes of them. Then, there's the psychological factor. The power of irrevocability. When a decision cannot be undone, we are powerfully motivated to keep telling ourselves it was the right one. The self-deception is strong. The Dutch noted this in their follow-up study of the first wave of men to partake in this experiment. In a 1988 paper, they observed that the men reported being happy even though no actual change in their life situation was observed. This led the researchers to consider the possibility that in an effort to reduce cognitive dissonance, the participants “simply cannot accept the notion that all has been in vain. The self-reported happiness may have been distorted wishful thinking.” But this wasn't enough to end the experiment. In fact, the failures noted in this study are what caused the Dutch to turn their attention to children in the hopes of producing more pleasing cosmetic results.

Zoe Hollowood is incredibly brave to challenge her party in this way. I know what it’s like to state biological sex is real and be attacked for speaking common sense and telling the truth. She is not on my side of the political spectrum, but courage calls to courage everywhere. Zoe should be supported in trying to get the Lib Dems to stop being silly, follow the law and respect the supreme court judgement.
Yesterday our chair @hollowood_zoe asked @LibDems conference in a trans debate: "In 2026, are women allowed rights? Rights to dignity. Rights to safety. Rights to say no." Conference resoundingly voted 'no' thus deciding that women were second class citizens. 🧵

A strange idea has been loose in our society for the last few decades. And it’s so pervasive and so deeply embedded in our culture that many people have lost sight of just how odd it is. It’s the idea that some healthy people require lifelong medical intervention and body part amputation. Or, to put it another way: It’s the idea that being transgender is a natural variation of human existence, not grounded in mental disorder or psychological challenges. Anyone who stops to think about this even for a moment can see how nonsensical it is. After all, how could any man of sound mind want his penis amputated? How could any woman who is balanced and thriving want her healthy breasts cut off? It just doesn’t make any sense. And yet, in the era of trans rights, stating the obvious — that an individual’s desire to medically alter the sex characteristics of his or her healthy body is a form of mental disorder — amounts to one of the most offensive, bigoted, harmful views a person could possibly express. Read my first essay in @genspect's REPATH series on how this dark moment in history could have happened and why restoring truth is the only way out of the madness. Link below.

25 years ago I pointed out the founder of Tavistock GIDS that most of the camp boys and tomboy girls if left alone would just turn out to be gay adults and asked ‘isn’t what you’re doing to them mad??’. His reply: “But is it anymore mad than if they were to turn out gay?” The Tavistock taught that homosexuality was not ‘normal’ and their belief was that it was preferable for a potentially gay child to be ‘transed’ into ‘heterosexuality’ he was vey clear on that.

LGB conversion is rare in the UK. Existing criminal laws are used to prosecute anyone for causing physical abuse, corrective rape and coercive control. This Bill is all about trans ideology. It will ban our #FreeSpeech Criminalise parenting and Trans away the gay. #BinTheBill

THE FIGHT NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT. On 1st September, DPUK will be taking the fight directly to Parliament for Lobby Day. This is an important opportunity to put detransitioners in front of those making decisions about the Conversion Therapy Bill and to make sure our experiences cannot simply be ignored. But showing up takes resources, and we are asking our supporters to help us cover the costs of getting to Westminster. If you can donate, please do. If you can’t, sharing this post is just as valuable. detranspathway.com Every donation helps us keep pushing forward. We have the voices. We need the support to take them to Parliament. #DPUK #Detransitioners #ConversionTherapyBill #LobbyDay #WeNeedYou

Proud to have donated a little to help fund this trip. These are brave and thoughtful young people who deserved so much better than being pushed down a medical pathway. Their voices deserve to be heard by the MPs who are considering the Conversion Practice draft bill.

A draft conversion practices bill has now been published. We will continue scrutinising the detail, but we believe this bill constitutes an indefensible incursion by the state into family life with devastating impacts for parents who are trying to support their children in what is already a hostile environment. gov.uk/government/publicatio… Individual parents, parent-led support groups like @BayswaterSG, and healthcare professionals (including the NHS paediatric gender services) continue to be subjected to a barrage of false accusations that they are engaging in "conversion". This draft bill adds the threat of criminal prosecution to those wildly inaccurate claims. Even if the bar for prosecution is high, the chilling effect and the detrimental impact on public understanding of transgender identity is profound. One thing we can be sure of is that accusations of conversion will come thick and fast, as they have done over the last decade. Escaping prosecution will be scant consolation for those subjected to this onslaught of fabrication and intimidation. The threat of being prosecuted for corporate conversion means that schools will be even more inclined to affirm a child's attested cross-sex identity, despite safeguarding advice to exercise caution. The potential psychological and lifelong medical consequences for the child will be less of a concern to a school than its own legal risk under poorly defined legislation. The press release for the bill claims "robust thresholds that protect open conversations, and free speech", but those are nowhere to be seen in the bill itself. Instead, the bill relies on subjective assessments to define what constitutes criminally "abusive" conduct, stating that this would need to involve "controlling or coercive words or behaviour" or "use of psychological or emotional pressure". Accusations of psychological or emotional abuse are rife when it comes to transgender identity. If this bill becomes effective, parents will justifiably fear that such accusations could now escalate into a threat of a criminal offence that carries a penalty of imprisonment up to 5 years. But that is not the only concern for parents who must now worry about the prospect of a "conversion practice protection order" should they disagree with their child over the merits of a "transgender identity" as the explanation for the child's experience. Any parent who fails to affirm their child's "transgender identity" or who voices concerns about a belief that mind and body can be mismatched in this way could be accused of exerting "psychological or emotional pressure" under the terms of this bill. None of this will help the parents of a distressed young teenager who is convinced that her "transgender identity" means she needs to source DIY testosterone to modify her body in line with her identity. Or parents frantic with concern over their young adult son, who is failing to hold down work or social relationships, all while pinning his hopes of happiness on a medical transformation with significant risks to his long-term health and well-being. Most importantly of all, this bill will harm the very people it purports to protect by enshrining in law a belief that is inextricably bound up with rejection of the body and psychological distress.

The campaign for a 'conversion therapy' ban - a govt bill on this was published today - was dreamt up by lobbyists seeking to criminalise exploratory therapy with gender-questioning children. We published this Observer editorial in 2023 on why a criminal ban is so dangerous.

This Conversion Practices Bill should chill everyone to the bone. Good parents trying to explore or challenge a desire of their child to transition could be criminalised. Terrifying state interference in families.

Factor in the lawyers fees, the trust wasted nearly £1 million pushing for men to be in womens spaces. Imagine what that money could have been spent on?! The trans cult is still being pushed by socialist Labour MPs!!!!!

1. 🚨BREAKING: County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust has paid £187,000 in damages, apologised, and committed to separate changing facilities for male and female staff following the Darlington nurses’ legal case. In January, the Employment Tribunal had found the nurses suffered harassment and indirect sex discrimination over workplace changing-room arrangement. The case, brought by seven nurses at Darlington Memorial Hospital, Bethany Hutchison, Lisa Lockey, Karen Danson, Tracy Hooper, Annice Grundy, Carly Hoy and Jane Peveller, was supported by the Christian Legal Centre, which has provided the nurses with legal, media and pastoral support from the beginning of their ordeal. The case has become one of the most significant legal challenges in recent years concerning the freedom of female staff to access single-sex spaces in the workplace, with the nurses being compared to the Ford Dagenham workers and being dubbed ‘The Angels of the North.’ In January, Employment Judge Seamus Sweeney, ruled that the policy, which had been in place at the Trust for years allowing men who identify as women to access the female staff changing room, had amounted to unlawful discrimination. Following extensive and at times deeply protracted negotiations, the Trust has now paid out £187,000 in damages to the nurses, which does not include legal costs, which are still to be decided at a further hearing. This figure also does not include the Trust’s own legal costs of £603,000, and counting, spent on defending its position of allowing men into female changing rooms. See more on our website and in this🧵to see the Trust's apology and commitments on single-sex spaces.... christianconcern.com/ccpress…
