Margaret Qualley’s monster makeup in The Substance (2024) would have easily been one of the best Halloween looks this year, right behind Heidi Klum’s.
But then again, let’s be honest. Nobody beats Heidi Klum when it comes to Halloween. Nobody.
I am genuinely struggling to comprehend Hansi Flick's player management right now. 🤦♂️
We secured a comfortable win against Alavés, but two things left a very sour taste in my mouth:
• The Rodri Obsession: Why did Rodri play another completely unnecessary full 90 minutes?
We ran him into the ground earlier in the season and paid heavily for it.
Resting key profiles ahead of big fixtures should be common sense, yet Flick treats a secured game against Alavés like a UCL final.
• The Balde Mistreatment: Leaving Alejandro Balde on the bench after dropping him down the pecking order makes zero sense.
Even with our defensive injury crisis, Flick would rather start a midfielder out of position at fullback than trust Balde's raw recovery pace.
We won the match, but if we keep burning out our crucial anchors while freezing out our best physical profiles, the structural collapse we saw in Paris is going to repeat itself very soon. 🥶❌
What is your honest take on how Flick handled the squad rotation ? Let’s talk below. 👇🔵🔴

I kissed my boyfriend for the first time, and immediately apologized to him.
We had been dating for almost eight months, but I had always been too shy to kiss him. He never pressured me, and whenever we got close, he would simply smile and change the subject.
That evening, we were sitting together in his car after dinner. He held my hand, looked into my eyes, and said, "Do you know how long I've wanted to kiss you?"
I couldn't answer. Instead, I leaned forward and kissed him.
It lasted only a few seconds before I pulled away.
"I'm sorry," I whispered, covering my face. "I don't know why I did that."
Embarrassed, I reached for the door handle, but before I could turn around, he grabbed my hand and gently pulled me back towards him.
Before I could say another word, he kissed me.
Then he kissed me again.
And again.
He couldn't seem to get enough of me. Every time I tried to pull away to catch my breath, he would smile, hold my face, and kiss me again.
When he finally stopped, I was completely speechless.
He rested his forehead against mine and whispered, "Please don't ever apologize for kissing someone who loves you."
I started laughing, still trying to catch my breath.
Then he reached into the glove compartment and brought out a small velvet box.
My smile disappeared.
Inside was a beautiful ring.
"I've been carrying this around for three weeks," he said. "I wanted to find the perfect moment to ask you something."
I looked at him, confused.
He took my hand again.
"Will you marry me?"
I couldn't believe it. The man I had been too shy to kiss had apparently been preparing to make me his wife.
And suddenly, I understood why he had been smiling all evening.

My wife said she was going to a work conference in Vancouver. Monday to Friday. She is a marketing manager.
I dropped her at Pearson Airport on Monday morning.
Me: Have a safe flight, babe. Call me when you land.
Her: I will, honey. Love you. Take care of the kids.
Him: Love you too. I'll miss you.
I watched her go through security.
On Wednesday, my boss said, "Go to our Vancouver office for a quick client meeting. Flight tonight, back tomorrow."
I thought, perfect! I can surprise my wife at her conference!
I didn't tell her. I flew to Vancouver Wednesday night.
I called her when I landed.
Me: Hey babe, how is the conference?
Her:bOh, it's so boring, honey. So many presentations. I'm in my hotel room now, so tired.
Me: Which hotel are you in? I can send you Uber Eats.
Her: Oh, no need, honey. I'm at the Marriott Downtown. I'm good. I'm about to sleep.
Me: Okay, love you. Sleep well.
I took an Uber to the Marriott Downtown. I went to reception.
Me: Hi, I'm looking for my wife, guest name: Lisa Johnson. Conference group.
Receptionist: Let me check... No, we don't have any Lisa Johnson. No conference group either this week.
Me: Are you sure? Marriott Downtown Vancouver?
Receptionist: Yes, sir. No Lisa Johnson checked in this week.
I called her again.
Me: Babe, are you sure you are at Marriott Downtown? They said no Lisa Johnson.
Her: What? Why are you checking? Are you tracking me? Why are you calling my hotel!
Me: I'm just worried. You said Marriott Downtown.
Her: I said Marriott... Marriott... I meant Delta! Delta Hotels! I'm so tired I confused it! Stop checking up on me!
Me: Okay, sorry. Rest well.
I went to Delta Hotels. Same thing. No Lisa Johnson.
I sat in my own hotel room in Vancouver. My wife is in Vancouver for a conference that doesn't exist, in a hotel that doesn't have her.
I turned on Find My iPhone. We share location. Her location was ON. She was not in Downtown Vancouver. She was in North Vancouver. In a house. In a residential area. At 11 PM.
I took an Uber to that house.
I knocked.
A man opened the door. Wearing pajama pants. No shirt.
