⚠️ Emergency preparedness is everyone's responsibility!
This spring thaw, commonly known as the freshet, is a result of snow and ice moving and melting into our lake and river systems, which can last for weeks as the snowpack melts.
Spring water levels can rise fast. Residents and visitors to Muskoka are encouraged to know the potential risks and hazards, and to plan ahead. Be prepared!

There are still lots of people stuck on the highway and roadways in #Muskoka. Our RRV helps us get to as many as possible. Stay home if you can!

Winter has arrived! Your #Paramedics want you to be safe so here are a few tips:
- clear you 911 signs and create a path for responders
- check on your neighbours, family, and friends
- take breaks when shoveling
- slow down on the roads and enjoy the view!

Ontario's paramedics are champions of care, connecting families to the emergency services they need.
Our government is proud to work hand-in-hand with the Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs as we expand 9-1-1 models of care and increase ambulance funding in communities.

While the #Pride flag hangs proudly at our headquarters, it's important to remember that being aware and inclusive is more than symbolic, and must be reflected by our actions. #HappyPrideMonth! #pride2024 #PrideMonth
