Screen X is a genuinely terrible gimmick. Ruinous to the moviegoing experience. The only way I can imagine it being even a tiny bit good is *maybe* a jump to lightspeed moment in a Star War? Maybe? It's very distracting and adds nothing of value.

I feel insane seeing people feign shock that Wemby got ejected for that elbow. He stopped, looked at the ref, looked back to make sure Naz was there, wound up his elbow and drove it into Naz's neck. It was one of the most clearly intentional flagrants I've ever seen.
