Look at all the hate on this video from people that never played 2K15 🤣🤣 niggas don’t even know how hard it was to do that first clip, they think it’s like these newer 2k LMAO
If you guys didn't realize, he's actually going back and playing it. Like these are recent clips. These are not clips from over a decade ago. He actually went back to play it. So you can't say nostalgia. Do you bots not understand it? The clips people are posting, they actually went back to play it and they still feel the same.
All the guys that are hating, you don't even know how to do this, and they’ve never played the game, or you've never been able to dribble on that game. So you can't even judge it. Y'all recency bias, era bias bots must be stopped. look how stupid the community is. They talk about nostalgia when the nigga in today's time is going back and playing the game and posting clips on it. Are you niggas fucking stupid? That don't even make sense. How the fuck is it shit nostalgia if he's going back and playing it in today's time🤣🤣🤣

this same cycle happens not stop..if you dont have stick skill when it comes to dribbling or know what’s going on when you look at these clips yall gotta stop speaking on it. that first clip is not equivalent to spamming an escape move on new 2ks he only clipped it because it takes timing and skill. combos make way more sense most of it is not nostalgia yall just gonna keep setting us back that’s why we got this bs now

that awkward moment when you start telling a story and you realize no one is listening, so you slowly fade out and pretend you never said anything.

DRIBBLING UPDATES NEEDED:
1. Why is the momentum the only move that gets bumped 100% of the time? Pls fix, thx.
2. Anklebreaker bump steals.. this needs to be addressed. I shouldn't loss the ball because the defender gets broken. The dribbler can't anticipate that and there's not ball logic to prevent it.
3. Need custom dribble packages... Standing BTB, Explosive BTB, and Moving BTB, should not be tied to ONE SIG.
4. Please for the love of god, bring back the numbered animations... Basic, Normal, Pro, Elite, etc... You can keep your ProPlay animations in the game, but we NEED more variety.
5. Make sig size-ups relevant again. They were painfully bad in 2K26. You either use Coby White and double flick RS⬆️ or you dont use it at all.
6. Bring back needing to momentum to speedboost. There is no skill gap especially on swings, because you can just run around in circles with Jimmys.
*Unpopular opinion* Remove Zach Lavine dribble style...
7. I'm not really sure why adrenaline is still in the game, but it needs to be reworked. For everyone saying "it's so you dont dribble for 24 seconds," what the hell is stamina for then?

Game description shows that the City is back. ProPlay is back. A lot of this sounds very familiar.

here's proof of how far ahead of their time previous 2Ks were when it came to animations
Some of the most popular moves in our recent and current 2Ks are shortened and copy and pasted animations that existed 7+ years ago. That’s a big reason why I don’t necessarily believe pro play itself is the problem. We still see traces of that same animation quality today, but we’re only getting a tiny fraction of what was once available.
The biggest difference is variety. The selection has become way smaller, and the animations we receive today are closer in style to what used to be the basic or normal packages, rather than the more expressive pro/elite options. those older packages had a level of creativity and visual appeal that made individual playstyles feel more distinct.
And these are only the similarities I’ve personally noticed. ik theres more examples across different games, and this cycle extends beyond just 2k19-2k26, with different animation names being recycled
but im not looking to expose i just want to show as a community we deserve more effort put into the animations like it used to be.

The animations in older 2Ks were genuinely ahead of its time. Standing sizeups, moving sizeups, triplethreat sizeups, Park sizeups, and that’s only looking at the dribbling system.
I’ve spoken about this consistently for years because I really want to bring more attention to the level of variety, creativity/flare these animations brought to gameplay. The difference was significant. For context, this video only shows the pro/elite animations not even the basic/normal packages and there’s already this much to show
I’ll personally always advocate most for the dribbling side because that’s where my strongest interest and experience are, but this goes well beyond dribbling. the same level of animation depth, freedom, and individuality could be felt across several areas of gameplay.
I’d really like to see this style influence the direction of 2k27 more animation variety, more expression, and more opportunities for different playstyles to feel genuinely unique.
I truly believe the community would thrive with this type of animation depth again!

1000% 2k needs to completely expand the animations screen, it’s overdue.
We should have packages added like 19s double cross, double behind the back, tween cross, moving size up combos, triple threat size up combos (not the ones tied to your tripled threat style like 26 but real dribble combos like 19), moving back size up combos.
Add in all of the best dribble moves to ever exist in 2k, speed up the slower dribble moves, expand the animations screen, adjust the dribbling sensitivity.
If defense, bumps, and blitzs are solid then you can’t lose going this route. Make defense feel worth it, have these dribblers punish these guys with no defense and have them adjust when a solid lockdown comes around.
2k19 dribbling was so good, so many packages and things to take away from it that we could bring into future 2ks.
