Day 1 working with the non-profit I'm doing some volunteering with, and I "solved" a recurring WordPress asset caching issue in the first 20 minutes (If that's the kind of extra hand your team could use, I'm looking for a #PHP-centered full stack gig, part-time or more. DM me!)

Everyone’s celebrating that #AI writes code faster. The bottleneck was never writing code. It's CI that takes 45 minutes, deployment pipelines with three manual approvals, and product decisions stuck in a backlog nobody owns. Speed up the wrong step and you just get a bigger pile at the next one

Whenever I'm between #programming gigs, I always spend a bit of time catching up on new things I've missed and revisiting the basics Re-reading Sandi Metz's "99 Bottles of OOP" is rejuvenating... (BTW - I'm a Full Stack Dev (PHP) looking for paid and volunteer opportunities)

"Voluntarily altering working code costs money, and doing so declares that you believe that rearranging this code right now is more important than anything else on the backlog. The opportunity cost of improving existing code is that you can’t attend to other urgent things."

This story of the potentially irreversible destruction of a crown-jewel national park is rapidly unfolding with absolutely zero national media attention. Journalists — we need you. Where are you?

With all eyes focused on Iran, Trump and DHS are pushing forward on border wall construction through Big Bend National Park. They will hand the Rio Grande to Mexico, destroy thousands of jobs, and ruin the last remaining wild West, all for less than 1% of all border crossings:

I've mostly worked for small companies & agencies & so my experience might be biased I find many managers too focused on metrics & lack people skills to keep the team working well together (BTW - I'm looking to work for a great manager! Full stack dev, #php & all the goodies)
50%Mine have been balanced

Yesterday, an old friend sent me an Instagram DM asking me for help for a contest. The "custom link" was a bit weird as it didn't have any path or URL params and when accessing I confirmed it was phishing as there was a fake Instagram login there. Thread of how I hacked it👇
