Your producer told our team on Tuesday you would both be on the show. In fact we specifically asked if the show was both of you or one of you and your producer told us both.

In fact, our team was told on Tuesday that both @EmmaVigeland and @SamSeder would do the show.
I had no idea @EmmaVigeland wasn’t going to be on. First we heard she wasn’t going to be on was live on the show from you. I had looked forward to being on with her as I tweeted last week.

Hasan is asked a single follow up question and immediately proves himself wrong
Hasan: All the way back in 2001, had 66% approval that America in some way, shape or form, was responsible for 9-11...
Alex: What poll is this?
Hasan: I might have actually presented it more favorable than it actually is... In 2001, 33% of all Americans said that US wrongdoing might have motivated 9-11 attacks
Alex: But that's less than 66%

hasan pulls out his phone to cite a pew poll that he says proves 66% of americans thought actions taken by america caused the 9/11 attacks. he realizes he was wrong, so he tells ANOTHER lie to cover up the first one.
he claims the 66% was actually for liberal democrats… but the poll shows it was only 40% among democrats in 2001. so he had the info right in front of him and still lied.

"Hasan Piker Says America Has Killed Lots of People. Donald Trump Agrees"
The latest Piker ‘scandal’ is an Axios interview in which he compared death tolls for al-Qaeda and the U.S. – something Trump has done for Russia and the U.S.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Piker said "pound for pound (PFP)" US is worse by "number of deaths"
x.com/axios/status/2…
PFP implies proportional adjustment. Al-Qaeda directly killed >4,100 people, with a generous estimate of 20k members. To be worse, PFP, the US would need to have killed >60 million people since 1988.

What did he mean by this?

I don't have anything against Piker. I've largely tried to stay out of it and have said the conversation is bullshit. But by doing these interviews, he's just feeding the GOP propaganda machine, and it does a disservice to the candidates he supports.

Earlier today, I was leaving a Science Committee hearing, standing up for science to address climate change, when I was once again followed, shouted at, and harassed by two rogue paid actors attempting to intimidate.
Let me be clear: I have always wanted the wars in the Middle East to end. I believe in a two-state solution that gives Israelis and Palestinians peace, security, dignity, and a home. People are free to disagree with me, challenge me, and protest my positions. That is democracy.
But disagreement is not license for intimidation or harassment.
I’m not on the ballot anymore. So, what exactly are we accomplishing by continuing to tear each other apart? There is too much at stake to spend our energy villainizing people on our own side or like me who are not coming back to Congress.
We should be putting our energy into protecting Social Security, defending voting rights, lowering costs, standing up for science, and defending the people who sent us here.
Disagreement is democracy. Intimidation isn’t.
Let’s get back to work.
