I read The Daily Stoic years ago, which reignited an interest in philosophy.
While the Stoics intrigued me, their obvious blind spots led me to the works of early Christian Church fathers.
Then, as the moral panic surrounding COVID intensified, I watched Holiday chimp out and behave like a vengeful schoolgirl, fully confirming my hunch that he wasn't some "public intellectual," but rather a simpleton cataloger of thoughts and ideas from men whose greatness lay far beyond his.
This was always who he was. He never "fell off." He's a marketer who found an untapped "self-help" niche and profited. The ideas he attached his name to were just a vehicle for cash.
