The time for change is here. Rural and Remote BC need policies designed for them and by them. We look forward to working with all levels of government to create meaningful change for tomorrow and the future generations of British Columbians.

Yes it does but he has a clear mandate and lots of support.
As a history buff I am sure you appreciated as much as I did the mention of the Cariboo Wagon Road and a nod to our history.
Let’s have a cabinet meeting @BarkervilleBC
I think the last time that happened was when Alex Fraser was in office.
@LDoerkson
Now the work begins. @LDoerkson has made an excellent appointment to lead the transition.
Congratulations @KielGiddens
Your knowledge and experience is important as the new governments sets out to execute a much needed and ambitious mandate.

As someone from Williams Lake @JasJohalBC how amazing to have Premier elect Lorne Doerkson from the Cariboo! Imagine the Cariboo Wagon Road and all of our little towns mentioned in his acceptance speech. Very proud day for all of us - especially those living beyond Hope.
I agree. From my experience as a new MLA/Cabinet Minister the other important task Kim and transition team have is building the Public Service team to help execute the platform but also competency and skills to match and support an ambitious new Executive team. Not an easy task but one I know Kim is up to.
Kim is an excellent choice to head the government transition team. I was privileged to work with her as a new MLA/Cabinet Minister. My experience was that she built strong BC Public Service team while also understanding the importance of supporting the Executive Team.
BC Conservatives announce Kim Henderson as government transition team chair. The former head of the BC Public Service will serve as a volunteer.

Wishing Premier designate @LDoerkson and the new government all the best.
Congratulations Jaime and to our Premier Designate @LDoerkson . I had the good fortune to have @CamEhl1 on several of my campaigns and was very lucky to have him in the trenches with me as a new Cabinet Minister. Wishing you all the very best.
When the snap election was called, I wrote three categories on my office whiteboard:
1. URGENT
2. Important
3. Later
Finding a campaign manager was URGENT.
Thanks to some mutual friends, I was fortunate to be connected with @CamEhl1 and blessed that he said YES to run our campaign in Vancouver-Langara.
Words can't describe what his presence meant for our success. All I can say is: THANK YOU CAM đź’™

Congrats to Premier-Designate @LDoerkson on a decisive win last night! British Columbians are in good hands. I was thankful to be @jaimestein’s campaign manager in Vancouver-Langara! He will be an excellent MLA! #bcpoli

BC was built by trailblazers with nothing but a dream and the determination to make it real.
That spirit is still here. It deserves a government that has its back.

Big news on the red tape front!
The feds are implementing a 2-for-1 rule, eliminating $2 of regulatory burden for every $1 introduced. ✂️
This is a key CFIB recommendation.
It is great to see a new federal red tape reduction strategy which includes several long-standing CFIB recommendations.Â
The new requirement for regulators to reduce regulatory burden costs by $2 for every $1 added is a significant step forward.

With all of the major projects in the North all elected officials should work together to demand programs and services that are extended to other jurisdictions and health authorities. Let this be our clarion call!
