"The cyber attack seems like a very possible scenario because it's a way for the banks to absolve themselves of any role in a a financial crisis."
"It's an easy way to consolidate banks so only systemically important ones survive 'the hack.'"
Turns out @SantiagoAuFund and Whitney Webb were both right about stable coins, and how the U.S. government plans to fund its debt with them.
This also explains why the U.S. is trying to cause chaos everywhere.
If you destabilize international trade & trigger a recession, it causes a Dollar shortage in many countries throughout the world.
By creating a Dollar shortage, it forces nations to print more of their own currency liquidate their foreign reserves and U.S. bonds.
Doing so devalues their local currency, which increases demand for U.S. assets, triggering a feedback loop of a rising Dollar and demand for U.S. stable coins.
Currency arbitrage is Scott Bessent's professional background. So much so that he helped cause the UK currency crisis in 1992 "Black Wednesday" and the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis with George Soros and Stanley Druckenmiller.
In Scott Bessent's recent speech of "Economic D-Day" he specifically warned every nation that they're about to sanction any nation trading with Iran.
That halts all cross border Dollar flows into those nations, which will trigger sovereign debt crisis. The "Japan crisis" also appears to be part of the plan to suddenly cutting off liquidity from markets.
The plan really is genius... that's why it's called "The Genius Act"
The question is, how do targeted nations prevent the sudden outflow of currency into the United States without being able to block Bitcoin and other crypto currencies?

Oh sh!t... @andreijikh just went down the rabbit hole.
Except it isn't 2028...🤫
Mmm juicy 🧃 $ONDO
When you think you can survive a liquidity grab, you don’t. Stay away from leverage or be ok with this. #flashcrash
The start of this bull market looks typical: BTC up, ETH up, SOL up and people naturally gravitating towards them.
But these assets won't be the best performing ones.
First you need to understand the underlying reasons because BTC isn't up for the same reason the rest of the market is.
Bitcoin is a macro asset, it mainly moves on liquidity and currency devaluation. When Bessent announced the increase in bond buybacks the market took it as "Washington won't accept long-end yields at this level" and that devalued the dollar. DXY gave back almost the entire strength it gained throughout 7 months in a few weeks and looks to make a new low. Bitcoin as a devaluation hedge immediately went up, and a lot, because it's a smaller and somewhat forgotten asset that's been written off by the market because "Saylor liq" and "whales sold".
The rest of the market is up because regulations are coming regardless of whether Congress passes the CLARITY Act or not. The CFTC and SEC are going to write the rulebook (which they anyway had to if CLARITY was passed). In theory these rules can be turned around by the next administration, but once the genie is out the bottle, there's no putting it back in.
Which brings us to "the assets that will outperform".
Barring the small cap rotations/extractions, the market will move the value into the onchain cash flowing businesses. And that's neither Ethereum, Solana nor your fav blockchain (they'll still go up, a lot, but also a lot less than the cash flowing businesses).
- Blockchains today hold 90% of the valuations while generating 10% of revenues.
- Applications today hold 10% of the valuations while generating 90% of revenues.
This inefficiency will close, as it should. And whatever targets you have, think bigger, trillions of dollars are coming onchain through tokenization. These assets will be serviced, exchanged, lent out, be used as collateral, etc, all onchain.
More assets, more volumes, more revenues and higher valuations.
Looks like half of CT is currently connecting Claude, ChatGPT and their wallets to PayBox for $5.
Web3 users will lecture you for 8 hours about privacy, sovereignty and self-custody, then give an AI agent access to their money for the price of a mediocre sandwich.
The biggest whores on the internet are apparently not on OnlyFans. They are on Crypto Twitter.
Don’t take it too seriously, but we have to admit there is at least a grain of truth to it ;-)

270,000 BTC accumulated by whales at $59k. largest single accumulation spike ever recorded on chain. bigger than the covid bottom (150k BTC). bigger than the FTX bottom (180k BTC). ETF outflows hit $4.5b in june but that capital rotated to semis, not cash. the entities selling BTC face quarterly redemptions and compliance committees armed with citi's $82k target. the entities buying have no reporting requirements and no redemption pressure. LTH SOPR at 0.615 last printed in july 2023 at $25k-$31k before the run to $73k. forced sellers are finite. voluntary buyers at record size are not.

Bitcoin is in a confirmed bearish regime — but downside risk isn’t infinite.
Multiple independent models are all converging on the same region.
I’m not calling a bottom. I’m mapping probabilities.
Here’s where the real floor likely forms 👇🏼

btc just printed a -5.65 standard deviation move. this has happened 13 times in 5000+ trading days since 2010. every single occurrence preceded multi-month rallies. march 2020 at $3800. december 2018 at $3200. january 2015 at $200. stochastic rsi hit its lowest reading in recorded history. 0.07% event. the data is screaming but most will wait for confirmation at higher prices.

The US stock market is near all-time highs in dollar terms
But is down 45% when measured in gold terms
What does this mean for the economy and financial markets?
A thread 🧵
So there is new deadly virus outbreak in India called Nipah. Wondering if this a good time to sell assets before India announces some sort of lockdown.
What do you think @grok ?
