מוסיפה עוד קצת מחשבות אקראיות על הסצנה בSF, שהיא פשוט שונה מאוד מתל אביב:
- אין יותר מדי stealth mode. אנשים פשוט עושים launch, ואז אולי עוד פעם launch, ועוד פעם עד שתופס. לא עושים את זה עם צוותי PR שמפרסמים תמונה עם כלב בכלכליסט, אלא עם סרטון ויראלי ב-X והרבה חברים שמרימים
- עובדים הרבה יותר קשה ממה שאנחנו רגילים לראות בתל אביב. לא בהכרח עובדים יעיל יותר, אבל לגמרי קשה יותר
- סייבר זו נישה קטנה עד לא מורגשת
- סדר העדיפויות שונה. קונסומר (כולל מוצרים פיזיים), דיפנס, חלל, ai-native-[הכניסו שם של תעשייה ישנה], ביו, רפואה, דאטה
- לא בטוחה מה קורה עם neo labs. למשקיעים קצת נמאס שאין business model, והיו כמה אקוויהיירס (ההנחה המקובלת של downside protection לחברות כאלו) שלא היו מספיק מרשימים גם עם יזמים.ות ממש טובים.
- ממש קל להכיר חברים באירועים IRL. הרבה אנשים מגיעים לעיר לבד בשביל להיות חלק ממה שקורה, ולחפש חברים באירועים זה ממש לג׳יט (ומאוד לא אמריקאי).
אז יש מלא אירועים מגניבים בעיר - מסיבות, האקתונים, אירועים בVCs - ואפשר פשוט להגיע. הבנתי שדייטינג זה קשוח (לא ניסיתי)
- עוד צ׳יט מעולה זו הקהילה היהודית ואירועים שמתארגנים סביב young Jewish professionals. הבנתי ששם הדייטינג דווקא מוצלח (גם לא ניסיתי)

At the end of the day, the world is just communism vs capitalism.
Communism ~ little agency and responsibility
Capitalism ~ more agency and responsibility
One’s personality is usually aligned with one of them, defined by upbringing, environment, education, and consciousness.
Both fight each other ruthlessly by any means. Not many people these days know how the US was fighting communism on 40th-50th. With executions, mass surveillance and rooting out every bit smelling like communism (no matter if it was true).
Was it worth it? If you ask me — this is why the US is what it is today, the greatest country in the world.
But this is so cuz I am a human of capitalistic values. Ask someone closer to communism values and they will call it a large mistake (tho they prob will not be aware)
This capitalism - communism swinging will never come to an end (hopefully) as they represent principles of two core different human psycho types tho capitalism doing not that good lately :(
