Samsung earned $80.5B in Q3 operating profit, up 783.11% from a year ago. Its chip division made $79.8B, while phones, TVs and appliances lost money.
AI memory demand now decides what Samsung earns, far more than the devices most people know it for.

Marvell ($221B) is in advanced talks to buy laser maker Lumentum ($83B). Lumentum is up 14.6% in 24 hours while Marvell is down 5.4%.
Silicon can't emit light on its own. With indium phosphide lasers sold out into 2029, fabless chipmakers are now forced to buy laser fabs.

Plenty things to say about this pj, I'm just saddened and speechless of what happened, yes I'm eligible - the role was divided in four tiers, I got the 3rd tier, the 4th that had approximately less than 20 people some were not eligible the radiant Ritualist, many Ritualist which is my tier where not eligible and the rest tiers got nothing even a lady @cryptomaxiq that gave birth two days to this scam launch, dedicated many years to this pj got ineligibile also and she has the third tier role like she even had this role when I joined the server, the team @niraj , @danielgosek , @ckartik_ , @PraveenPsamy , @sid_alluri and @akileshpotti probably shared the little 0.5% leftover for the community because if you look on-chain, many shady things happened.
It's sad I did my research from grok on this project and I thought the founder was an Australian because he was given birth there, if I knew he's from where I was later told about lately, I won't step a foot. they have multiple history of this behaviour.
only managed to drop a gm post today, but got a few things to catch up on tonight
starting with @ritualnet, cause their airdrop turned into quite a story
$RITUAL launched on oct 26, got listed on Coinbase, and dropped roughly 70% from its early high
but the airdrop is where things get interesting
-- 50m tokens, just 0.5% of total supply
-- reportedly only ~852 eligible wallets
-- early Infernet operators, Frenrug users and selected contributors got rewarded
-- some ppl with high Discord roles are reporting zero allocations
(imagine farming roles for a year just to open the checker and see "not eligible")
to be fair, another 13.5% is reserved for future network incentives, but that doesnt change how frustrating the launch was for some long-term participants

CXMT, China's largest DRAM maker, plans limited production of HBM3E within two months. HBM3E is stacked memory for AI chips.
Only 20% to 30% of its HBM3E chips are usable, against about 70% at SK hynix. In testing, they performed closer to SK hynix's older HBM3.

SK hynix reports Q3 results Wednesday morning. The consensus forecast is $54B of operating profit on $69B of revenue, a 78.4% margin and up 576% from a year earlier.
The number that matters as much as profit is how far ahead its customers have already booked.

Asian chipmakers slipped heading into earnings week. Tokyo Electron fell 3.68% on Monday, Renesas 3.57% and Samsung 1.16%.
Samsung and SK hynix report this week, as do Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon, whose AI spending sets the next round of chip orders.
