rather than saying sir patrick stewart last role is in doomsday and not some profound movie, its bittersweet that he gets to act one last time reprising one of his most beloved roles alongside his beloved best friend sir ian mckellen, like if its not doomsday then where else

This is why I don’t believe that Israelis are “brainwashed”. They know exactly what’s happening, actively support it and collectively lie to the world to cover it. We aren't dealing with an ignorant society, but a fundamentally evil cult.

the apple pic was my lock screen for so long and once I lost my phone in a bar and someone was like "who lost a phone? The background is an old guy picking apples" and when I was like oh that's mine he asked if it was a picture of my dad and I had to say no he's from star trek 😭

Picard taught me more about leadership than any MBA could.
He never raised his voice to be heard. He listened before he decided. He let Riker, Data, Worf argue him out of positions, and then owned the call completely. When he was wrong, he said so in front of the crew. When he was right, he didn't gloat.
And when he had to stand alone — against Starfleet, against the Borg, against a Cardassian with four lights — he stood.
That is the whole job. Build people who will tell you the truth, then carry the weight yourself.
Patrick Stewart played it so well that a generation of us mistook a character for a manual. Turns out the manual was fine.
A great actor, and a Yorkshire kid who started as an obituary writer. Today the obituary is his.
Make it so, Sir Patrick. Rest well.

‘Star Trek’s George Takei remembers Patrick Stewart:
“Fans across the world mourn the passing of a true and irreplaceable legend. As Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Patrick Stewart took the starship Enterprise to places it had never gone before, and he inspired a whole next generation of star-gazers who looked longingly ahead to a brighter future for all humanity. Our hearts are heavy, indeed. Rest in the heavens, Captain.”
