In 2016 my son and I took a visit to a ⁦@Tesla⁩ showroom for a test drive for fun. Came out blown away and knew at that time this car and the company was going to be the future of the auto industry. Congrats to all my ⁦@Tesla⁩ bulls! 🤣👏🏼🎉👊

It’s incredibly refreshing to watch every single player stand for the National Anthem during the World Series, with their hand over their heart in honor & respect for America & the military members who served/are serving & those that paid the ultimate sacrifice. Take notes @AtlantaDream & @valkyries. This is how it’s done.

David Friedberg: France’s Crisis Is a Warning for America “France is a bellwether for the West. So take a look at this chart. This chart is a measure of public spending as a percent of GDP. And you can see the comparison of France's public spending as a % of GDP to the peak public spending as a % of GDP of major communist nations.” @Chamath: “So do you think France is a communist state? They spend like it.” @Jason: “Well, it's certainly been a socialist state, right?” Chamath: “Is it working?” @Friedberg: “That's my point. And I think this is such a prescient lesson for the West to look at. We all think that there's some political problem with Macron or whoever it was. The more the government spends, the worse the conditions get for its people, not the opposite, and then the people riot and revolt. Take a guess where the US is today. US public spending is roughly 36% of GDP. France today is operating its national government spending deficit is 5.4% of GDP. The US is actually 6.2% of GDP. France is, I think, probably the first to go because they're only growing their economy at half a percent while the US is growing at 2.3%. So we're still kind of hanging on because we have some degree of economic growth that's allowing us to kind of hold things together. But I would argue that we are facing the same sort of fiscal cliff which leads to this extraordinary social unrest as France. All the economic measures are aligned, we're at the same rate, we're at the same set of problems, and we're starting to see the cracks in the system. There's probably a multi-year solution.”

Solo para recordarles que @SpaceX ya genera mas revenue de AI (SI) que de Starlink. El ramp del ultimo Q es brutal. No llevan un año en cotizando en bolsa. Buen chart de @IvanaSpear

LeBron would never disrespect the Chinese national anthem like he did the American national anthem this week. LeBron hates the country that made him a billionaire. His brain is broken.

Big fan of this: Like Dan Hurley’s teams at UCONN, daily skill development is something that a lot of the best coaches implement - even during the season You should not be the same player at the end of the season as the beginning, and your skill level needs daily refinement

“If you want to see where socialism leads you, look at France this last weekend. It’s a socialist’s dream.” Ken Griffin
Ken Griffin on the rise of DSA, Paris riots and looting in Chicago I'm not so worried about it. It's a New York, Illinois, Michigan, California bit of a bubble. If you want to see where socialism leads to, look at France last weekend. It's the socialist dream. The country spends 60% of GDP at the government level. BTW Paris looked pretty damn similar to Chicago in 2021-22. It’s a people… (that) are very willing to riot and protest anything. Is that really the future that the US might be looking at? It’s the future. I lived in Chicago. I could look out my window at the Dior store. They were very efficient. We may be more efficient than the French, even at looting.

Some days are worth sharing. Going to the White House and having Nick recognized for working hard to help make America a better country is certainly a day worth celebrating. I'm deeply thankful to have a president and an administration that recognizes and supports hardworking Americans and is committed to addressing fraud.

Doug Leone on the mistake every VC makes: Selling their winners too early. “We owned 20% of Nvidia and sold. We were the first investor in Apple and sold. We owned 10% of Google and sold.” “If we hadn’t sold Google that would be half a trillion dollars.” “We owned a quarter of Cisco and sold.” ($411 billion market cap) “We had big ownership in very big companies.” “The great companies compounded 20+ years after the IPO. If you had a little sniffer that this thing has essentially an unbounded market for many years, you should never sell a share.” “You can make way more money holding those. If you're compounding a $5 billion gain that can turn into a $50 billion gain.”

$FNMA $FMCC 🔥🔥🔥 @BillAckman with epically bullish commentary on Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac this A.M. All the bases were beautifully covered. Thank you once again for your tireless advocacy, Mr. Ackman! No chance DJT leaves F2 up for grabs at the risk of a democratic administration potentially regaining control. Shout out to @CaliRefugee1 for continually banging that drum! Not if...but when. Bob Feller's fastball was measured at 98.6 mph in 1946 using a U.S. Army device designed to measure artillery shells. There was no stadium radar gun and obviously no Statcast. The Army literally brought its equipment to Griffith Stadium to figure out how hard Feller was throwing. Nearly 100 mph with 1940s measuring technology helps explain why hitters talked about his fastball like it was something from another category.

Brad Gerstner, architect of Trump Accounts: 70% of families in America don't have an investment account — they do not have skin in the upside of America... This is going to be solved in one of two ways: you're either going to get bigger government programs, more fighting for UBI, more redistribution... Or we can harness the power of free enterprise and capitalism... We can allow them to see firsthand the power of compounding growth. @altcap @JTLonsdale
Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America. This will be the first of many.
