So good
Is shul gabbai energy one or two levels below @MODI_COMEDIAN Moshiach energy?

Dan, could you use your connections to tell Israel they should remove clowns like lander from the scene in limos with stocked bars instead of tour buses? No actor should have to travel in a tour bus!

Lots of chatter about whether Israeli citizens living abroad will dash back to Israel next week to vote in the election, what the actual numbers might be, and whether there will be electoral implications. @yaelbt + @SaysCL got @AmitSegal + @Nadav_Eyal to break it all down. Worth listening to the entire episode: arkmedia.org/podcasts/chosen…

My main problem with @bradlander is his worldview. But a secondary issue is his clownishness. I totally get why @NYCMayor didn’t want to see Lander at City Hall every day and passed him over for a job.
Did the IDF provide the cell phones and air conditioned bus in this detainment fantasy? You were in a closed military area and simply made to go back to your hotel. I don’t know if I’m more embarrassed by you as a New Yorker or as a Jew.

A selfie, no less, with his own phone.
Brad Lander went all the way to Israel hoping that he would get a photo op to show he's being oppressed by the Israeli government, and the best he could do is a sad face picture on an air conditioned bus passing a security checkpoint. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brad.

FRAUD ALERT: In the primary, Abdul El-Sayed relied heavily on FAKE Wedgewood polls showing he could beat Mike Rogers in the General Election. The polling showed he was up 15% against Stevens. He won by less than a point. Ignore the noise. Vote for Mike Rogers. Save Michigan.

The conventional wisdom is that the outcome comes down to two possibilities: Benjamin Netanyahu stays in power, or Gadi Eisenkot replaces him. But what if neither scenario happens? @Gil_Hoffman join's @ArkMediaOrg's Call me Back to examine. Listen here: lnk.to/DTggNv

HUGE: Democratic elected official from Pontiac says Abdul El Sayed was disrespectful and standoffish, wouldn’t even look him in the eyes. Marcus Bowman is crossing the aisle to support Mike Rogers for Senate. He’s not alone. He knows Mike Rogers is the right choice for Michigan.

In case anyone is unclear, Abdul El-Sayed doesn't have a problem with the money. He has a problem with Israel. He's also a liar, and here are just a few of the receipts. 1️⃣ About 86% of U.S. military aid to Israel is already spent in America, mostly with U.S. defense contractors. By 2028 it’s 100%. 2️⃣ Israel is buying $1.98 billion in military vehicles built partly in Auburn Hills, paying part of it with its own money. Michigan, Abdul. 3️⃣ In January, Netanyahu said he wants U.S. military aid tapered to zero within about a decade. 4️⃣ Iron Dome interceptors are built in Arizona and Arkansas, and the U.S. Army bought two batteries. 5️⃣ Israel shares intelligence with America on an ongoing basis. The two countries have had a formal counterterrorism pact on information sharing since 1996, and the State Department calls Israel “a committed counterterrorism partner, closely coordinating with the United States.” Two highlights: In 2017, Israel tipped off the U.S. to ISIS’s plot to hide bombs in laptops on airliners. In 2018, the Mossad stole Iran’s secret nuclear archive out of Tehran and shared it with U.S. intelligence, and the secretary of state called the files authentic. 6️⃣ Israel votes with the U.S. at the UN more than any other country: 76% of the time, against a 17% average. 7️⃣ He told NBC the U.S. just paid $2.8 billion for 2,000-pound bombs for Israel. That sale was put on hold and hasn’t been finalized.

While I agree with what Nadav says here, it was frustrating to read — that these very obvious points even need to be spelled out.
A candidate for the U.S. Senate says Israel is not America's friend. I'm Israeli. I grew up in Israel. My family is Israeli. And I can tell you this: Few nations hold America as close to their hearts as Israelis do. Fact: Israelis admire America. 81% of Israelis view the United States favorably - the highest percentage among 36 countries surveyed by Pew in 2026. Who else in the Middle East does? No other U.S. ally can have 200 fighter jets in the sky in 3 hours notice. Modest compared with America's military might, certainly. But backed by something more important: a profound commitment to the United States, regardless of who occupies the White House. Security is real. Capabilities are real. And friendship is real too. This candidate understands nothing of it. He is trying to pick up votes through hate. None of this requires defending Netanyahu. None of it requires endorsing everything Israel has done in recent years. It requires understanding one fact: Israel America's most enduring ally in the Middle East. Criticizing an Israeli government is legitimate. Pretending Israel is America's enemy is something else entirely. Any other notion is just bigotry masquerading as conspiracy theory- or conspiracy theory masquerading as bigotry.

Listening to him, you’d think Iran’s regime- with its state slogan of “Death to America,” brutal repression, and murderous fundamentalism - was America’s natural friend. And that the real reason Washington and Tehran are enemies isn’t the mullahs, but Israel. If that sounds like conspiracy bigotry, it probably is.

Last week I was in Michigan for an address before the local Jewish community at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, 7 months after a terrorist tried to slaughter over 100 young Jewish children at the temple school (thank G-D they were physically unharmed). @AbdulElSayed tried to rationalize that attack (“hurt people…hurt people”). Here was my response. youtu.be/0ifmuKFBUOc?is… via @YouTube youtu.be/0ifmuKFBUOc?is=22Dh… via @YouTube

We are all about producing podcast episodes timed for length of kid school drop-off times.
Fantastic discussion that hasn’t been widely shared (as far as I’ve seen). Also, the perfect length of time for listening after dropping the kids off at school.

Let me fix that tweet for you: 1. The people rioting in Paris are criminals who are committing crimes. 2. Destroying hard-working people’s businesses is evil and not a valid form of protest.
