Another note for SpaceX attorneys and PR: There was no need to issue an alert at all. Your own internal data showed a safe 2km pass. But you issued a 400m collision alert anyway. Why? Because the alert itself is the weapon. Issuing it triggered FCC Cond 16, legally freezing ICEYE so it couldn't dodge. STARLINK-35856 didn't use its auto-evasion. It just parked there and kept the false alarm blaring while Russia sprinted in. It wasn't an accident.
SpaceX Blocked A U.S. And NATO Satellite to Assist a Russian Intercept After Crippling Ukraine's Air Defenses
The Math Proves the Reality that Musk doesn't want you to see.
On Oct 13-14, SpaceX restricted Starshield/Starlink during a 39-missile Russian attack, cutting Ukrainian drone intercepts by 23% and stranding U.S. personnel in Kyiv. Forty-eight hours later (Oct 15), SpaceX blocked U.S.-licensed NRO, Space Force, and NATO radar satellite ICEYE-X36 in orbit so Russia's COSMOS 2612 weapon could intercept it (99.89%-99.98% posterior)
Our Model Demonstrates that the Russian intercept of the US/NATO ICEYE X-36 satellite (contemporaneous with the throttling of Starlink) would not have been possible, and almost certainly not been attempted, without SpaceX resources. At a material opportunity cost, Russia sprinted its COSMOS satellite to intercept ICEYE X36. Based on a previous attempt in June during which X36 maneuvered to evade COSMOS, Russia knew that this would be successful only if X36 could not maneuver. On October 15, SpaceX fixed X36 in place by issuing a collision alert for a sub-kilometer approach with its Starlink 35856 when SpaceX's own data shows that the actual distance was 4.8-5.0x as great. SpaceX issued no warning to COSMOS despite the fact that its sprint was far more threatening than the stable X36 orbit. SpaceX did not maneuver its Starlink 35856 satellite to clear the supposed collision risk. How, absent coordination with SpaceX, could Russia have known that SpaceX would take actions that (a) misrepresented the danger posed by X36, and (b) resulted in the fixing of X36 thereby enabling COSMOS's successful intercept? Thus, SpaceX was directly involved in simultaneously compromising Ukraine’s defensive and offensive capabilities. The conjunction of these two events makes innocent explanations untenable.
The Pentagon Capture & Iran Round Two Trap: Pentagon CTO Emil Michael who cashed out $7M–$35M from Musk’s inner-circle SpaceX vehicles (M8/Gigafund 0.1 and M6/Valor M33 II) and KQ Partners / xAI (selling xAIfor $5M–$25M three days before taking over CDAO/OSCand 21 days before SpaceX bought xAI, while keeping M8, M6, M9, M10 & Nomadic open) and Pete Hegseth purged rival Anthropic in two hours, surrendered combat command over US drones used to attack Iran to Starlink’s "Terms of Service," and on October 2 named Musk Co-Director of Project Meridian to design the Pentagon's "Future of Warfighting" just as America enters Iran Round Twowith depleted Patriot/THAAD magazines and Russia feeding U.S. warship/aircraft locations to Tehran.
SpaceX’s actions in Ukraine raise serious questions about its alignment with US security interests and its reliability as a cornerstone of US defense. These questions are particularly troubling given the effectively irreplaceable position SpaceX has been granted by the Hegseth/Emil Michael Pentagon.

In the brotherhood of coaching, Ed Dawson is most certainly mentioned among the best WPIAL coaches. What kind of human says something so tone-deaf 1 day after he tragically passes? Time for you to hang it up, we don’t need high school sports coverage that isn’t among the best.
Sad, sad story. No, Ed Dawson wasn't mentioned among the best WPIAL coaches. But it's not easy at a small place like Cornell. What he did for Cornell football and Cornell kids can't be overstated. WPIAL football lost a good man.

Railroads touting massive consolidations claim it's the only way to deliver "seamless" service and get trucks off the road.
But Zak Andersen of BNSF points out that intermodal volume is already growing through cross-network partnerships with CSX and Norfolk Southern.

Abandoning Ukraine will be a stain on the United States for the rest of time
A Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Once again, no early warning from our partners. The main target was energy infrastructure, specifically CHPP-4. Unfortunately, it was hit. A residential building was also damaged, and rescuers are currently putting out a fire there. Our systems detected these missiles only when they were already virtually on approach to Kyiv. CHPP-4 is one of Kyiv’s key energy facilities.
According to our intelligence, the Russians are preparing further ballistic missile launches. The facts show that the Russians do not consider themselves bound by what the President of the United States said. Ukraine supported an energy ceasefire. Russia is targeting yet another power plant and the lives of our people.
And this is absolutely unjust: when they are destroying our energy infrastructure, and Ukraine is not even receiving early warnings about ballistic missile launches. It is important that the world does not stay silent about this. And it is important that the United States really see what is happening and who is responsible for this war continuing.
Please stay safe tonight and tomorrow. We are working to replenish our air defenses with anti-ballistic missiles.

I hope that the @SecWar, @USPACOM, @CENTCOM, @US_EUCOM, @US_TRANSCOM, @MSCSealift, @SecDuffy and @DOTMARAD are watching the Tanker War in the Strait.
This is what CONTESTED LOGISTICS looks like in the 21st century.
It is estimated that approximately 5 to 10% of the ships coming through the Strait are coming under attack. How will this look in a Western Pacific scenario along the First Island Chain.
Will we see LCSs and LSMs actually deployed to the theater when we do not want to expose DDGs to this level of fire?
Do we have enough U.S. ships in the merchant marine, Military Sealift Command and Ready Reserve Force to sustain military forces?
This is the new Tanker War and it looks more like the asymmetric warfare encountered by U.S. land forces in Iraq and Afghanistan than conventional warfare. Is the Navy ready for this in the future should be the relevant question?

WH Press Sec Katie Zacharia: The abortion pill has the same chemicals that they used in the extermination camps in Nazi Germany
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The claim is false. Nazi extermination camps used Zyklon B (hydrogen cyanide) or carbon monoxide. The abortion pill uses mifepristone, a progesterone receptor blocker, and misoprostol.

I have this video of my husband after my first arrest, admitting to strangling me. He then threatens me with a butcher knife and chops a cutting board in half. While interrogating me about what I disclosed to his other ex-wife (bio-mom of children), as well as to my friends on the internet.
I ultimately did tell his ex-wife everything, so she could legally protect her children.
I would like to report what happened, Not just the domestic violence. I don't care so much about that. But the manipulation of legal systems. As well as witness intimidation in a case re: child abuse.
The butcher knife video is an example of extreme witness intimidation, I believe. Such that my ex-husband is chopping things with the knife in front of me, while asking me what information I disclosed to his ex-wife.
I'm posting this now because the statutes on some (not all) of the crimes against me are running out.
I can't see that there is any avenue for me to report these crimes remotely. All I want to do is to make a report. In Allegheny County, PA. Not in person.
Everything I research tells me that I have to go back to Allegheny County. Pittsburgh. I don't have the means to so this and if I did my ex-husband might murder me.
So is there a way for me to report these crimes?
I don't want to just be silent, you know? Or I at least have to ask, before the statutes run out.
My impression is there is really nothing I can do from afar. Without hiring more expensive lawyers.
I also do not hope for any particular outcome. I just want reports on the record. There are several I could make. I'm asking for advice now because the statute is running out on the first demonstrable crime: threatening me with a butcher knife re: child custody testiomony.

A reminder that our ship repair industry is struggling. I’m not inherently against using foreign some allied ship repair, but we need to keep in mind how much domestic capability we have lost and not replaced.
Recently closed 🇺🇸 facilities:
BAE San Francisco (2017)
BAE Hawaii (2021)
J.M. Martinac (2014) - small operation
Mare Island Drydock (2026)
This is about a 10% reduction in ship repair capacity while we have record backlogs in Navy MRO.
Only Austal has opened a new repair facility in San Diego (2023) and it cannot service large combatants.
Everett Ship Repair now has the old NASSCO dry dock, but hasn’t won any significant Navy MRO contracts though they do have an MSRA with the US Navy. They may also be negatively impacted by the cancellation of the Constellation-class which was supposed to see 12 frigates home ported in WA.

The same “miscommunication issues” existed with Tomlin for years, now they want to blame the coaches. Every week, for the past idk 5 seasons, Heyward has came out after a big loss and said they need to communicate/execute better as players. Now it’s the coach’s fault bc their buddy “coach” is gone. I’m not a massive McCarthy fan, but here’s an idea, how about rebuild, clean house of Tomlin’s blind players, and give McCarthy a real shot. #Steelers
Jaylen Ramsey asked about the new additions to the Steelers secondary today:
“The coaches have to put them out there with us so we can all get on the same page. There’s a little bit of a disconnect here right now, just with what we want to do on the field and how we play as a team and together as a secondary vs. just throwing a playbook in their hands and the coaches saying ‘This is how it has to look.’ That’s not how football works.”
I asked him to expand on the disconnect. He referred to Aaron Rodgers saying that player-led teams are the best ones earlier in the week
