Texas Democrats have a once-in-a-generation chance to finally end the absurd rural Texas property tax exemption (ag-exemption). It would be political malpractice to ignore this chance to finally fix public school funding. @GinaHinojosaTX @VikkiGoodwinTX @VoteAnnJohnson
You know, it sucks to have Texas go all blue, but this is actually an opportunity to replace all the old intrenched GOP figures with new fresh blood that are hungrier for true reform.
I was a Ron DeSantis supporter in 2024. I will be again in 2028. I'm not an anti-Trumper, but DeSantis was the better choice then and continues to be.
If the next president, Republican or Democrat, doesn’t make Isaacman continue in the role of NASA administrator, they are making a huge mistake.
You are moving to a different point now, which is fine. But I want you to know that I was respectful in my reply, as I have been to the critics. You were not correct about the public display of the Moon rocks or about prior presidents having rocks in the Oval Office. Now you have pivoted to the budget request.
The President submitted a budget request that challenged NASA to do more with less. I provided testimony on the budget because, as you would see in OIG reports, there are examples where NASA was not the best at resource allocation and outcomes suffered. But ultimately, Congress appropriated funding, as is its responsibility.
Then we had a year like 2026: the Artemis II mission went very well and we immediately press on to Artemis III, not wasting time or money, six astrophysics missions set records; we held “too big to fail” programs accountable for being over budget and behind schedule; and we launched new initiatives in a logical, iterative way, like Moon Base and SR-1 Freedom. A flagship mission like Roman launched ahead of schedule. X-planes are actually flying again (and on their way to KSC at this moment). We have dramatically rebuilt the workforce, added thousands of civil servants, and put our machine shops back to building hardware. We have taken control of our destiny and put NASA back in the driver seat. And as a result, we have a President who has clearly taken notice and is showing a lot of interest in America’s space program, from Artemis to Roman.
This is how you go from being asked to do more with less to being asked to do more with more.

"Pouring boiling water on someone trying to steal things is much worse than actually stealing things."
It's not.
"So you value things over people's lives?"
No. You value things over people's lives. That thing you want to steal wasn't given; it was earned. It was worked for. By stealing, you are stealing their life and their work.
"Louis Vuitton can afford to lose some purses."
Well no, but even so, you can't eat a purse, and you are, in fact, stealing the livelihood of the workers who work in that shop. You're stealing money from the building manager who makes sure the building is in working order.
The thing you're stealing is more than just an object. You're stealing someone's time and life. That is why property can be and should be defended to the extent that the defender is comfortable with, whether that is boiling water or a 9mm handgun. The defender is not the one putting the thief's life in danger. The thief is.

Elon Musk: “check out this flying car.”
The left: “check out this train that is 7x over budget and 20 years behind schedule.”
At four way stops, it confuses everybody. This rule is ridiculous. And unsafe.
The most unsafe thing FSD does is the complete Stop at Red Lights & STOP signs when there is no cross traffic.
I worry about being rear ended by human drivers.
Look at how all the other cars don't do a complete stop when there is clear visibility and no cars are coming.
Dear NHTSHA, you are making the roads unsafe by mandating this!

$1 BILLION of your gas money since 2015 for “solar on low-income apartments.”
We audited it: $72 million actually bought panels. $928 million went to Sacramento nonprofits doing “environmental justice” — voter registration and ballot harvesting.
Becerra will keep feeding that machine. I’ll kill the hidden gas tax, get you to $3 gas, and put your money back in your pocket.
WAKE UP CALIFORNIA.
Now, I'm going to vote even harder for him.
NEW @TexasTribune: Ken Paxton privately suggested he'd support cutting federal benefit programs, per new leaked audio.
Asked about reducing the deficit, he said: “Making some reasonable cuts to mandatory spending - you're gonna have to do it."
"We have to suck it up."

I don’t care how noble the intentions. If government touches it, it gets demonstrably worse.
Replying to @eli13027
Every. Single. Thing. The government puts their mitts on skyrockets in price, and lowers quality.
