#HMGovernment … please read. If we don’t act very quickly we will have a MASSIVE crisis in the provision of leisure facilities across the uk. The mental and physical health of the nation can only suffer badly, placing even greater strain on our fantastic NHS.
This is the most important thing in sport and leisure right now. The position leisure facilities are in right now is more critical than during the covid pandemic. News - Sports bodies issue 'urgent plea' for help from UK prime minister amid energy crisis bbc.co.uk/sport/64725864

The Year 11 students have been marking the end of their time at St Mary’s this week with a range of activities organised for them to enjoy. There were lots of tears and much laughter! Wishing you all the best girls.

Struggle is absolutely necessary for growth and development. Failure is good, failure teaches, and failure separates the willing from the unwilling. Don’t try and prevent your kids from failing, teach how to get up, move forward and succeed when they do fail! 💯

The benefits of swimming clubs using @RKinjuryclinic for their HiiT/land training sessions and for injury recovery for their athletes is that he swam and played water polo himself. This helps him understand the swimmers needs and wants to remain fit until pools open. 💪🏻

Severe, sudden + heartbreaking disruption from new restrictions here in the UK means many of us will have too much food while others won’t have enough to eat. Have excess food? Please share it via these apps/orgs 🙏 @OLIO_ex @TooGoodToGo_UK @FareShareUK @UKHarvest @TrussellTrust

We have again urged the Government to change its ‘frustrating ruling’ which bans over 18s from training with their clubs. With more over 18s impacted following the latest review of #coronavirus tier restrictions, @JMNSwimmer vowed not to give up the fight to get them altered.

Rosa Parks sparked a movement on this day in 1955 when she refused to give up her bus seat. Today, let’s honor her legacy and the courage she embodied by living by her words: "To bring about change, you must not be afraid to take the first step. We will fail when we fail to try."

At @LondonSwimming, we firmly believe the decision to include leisure centres in the new national lockdown is the wrong call. Our Chair @AHarrisonSwim explains why. ⬇️
