Pray with me October 1, 2026 Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we take our stand against every power of darkness that thrives on confusion, deception, fear, disorder, and rebellion against Your truth. Your Word declares that You are not the author of confusion, but of peace. Where lies have been enthroned, expose them. Where darkness masquerades as enlightenment, turn on the light. We rebuke every spirit of deception that tells people evil is good and good is evil, darkness is light and light is darkness. Tear down strongholds, demolish arguments raised against the knowledge of God, and bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. We refuse to surrender our minds to the madness of this age. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Guard our hearts from panic, our minds from manipulation, and our mouths from repeating lies. Give Your people discernment. Give us courage to speak truth when truth is unpopular. Give us wisdom that cannot be manipulated by outrage, intimidation, propaganda, or the shifting opinions of the crowd. Father, awaken Your Church. Where we have compromised, bring repentance. Where we have remained silent out of fear, give us courage. Where we have confused compassion with surrendering truth, teach us to speak the truth in love. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood. People are not our enemy. Therefore, keep hatred from our hearts even as we stand firmly against lies. Let our weapons remain spiritual, mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds. Jesus, reclaim our homes. Reclaim our churches. Reclaim our communities. Awaken consciences. Restore wisdom. Bring repentance. Break deception. Give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts that refuse to bow before anything contrary to Your Word. We belong to You. Our minds belong to You. Our families belong to You. Our future belongs to You. And no matter how loud the confusion becomes, we will stand upon what is eternal: Jesus Christ is Lord, Your Word is truth, and the darkness will never overcome the Light. In the mighty and victorious name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Pray with me September 22, 2026 Heavenly Father, We come before You today with grateful hearts, because every good and perfect gift comes from You. You are the Giver, the Sustainer, and the One who has carried us farther than we could ever have carried ourselves. (James 1:17) Thank You for the blessings we recognize and for the blessings we have overlooked. Thank You for doors You opened, and for doors You closed because You knew what was on the other side. Thank You for prayers You answered exactly as we hoped, and for the times Your wisdom gave us something different because Your ways are higher than our ways. (Isaiah 55:8-9) Lord, teach us to “give thanks in all circumstances,” because this is Your will for us in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18) Not because every circumstance is good, but because You remain good in every circumstance. Thank You for daily bread. Thank You for shelter, provision, work, family, friendship, laughter, and the ordinary mercies we so easily take for granted. You have promised to supply our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19) Thank You for protecting us from things we never saw coming. Thank You for sustaining us through battles we thought would break us. Thank You for giving strength when ours was gone, peace when life was uncertain, and hope when the road ahead seemed dark. As David declared, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” (Psalm 103:2) Father, keep us from forgetting. Do not allow familiarity with Your blessings to produce ingratitude in our hearts. Give us eyes to recognize Your fingerprints throughout our lives. Above everything else, thank You for Jesus. Thank You for the cross. Thank You for mercy we did not earn, grace we could never purchase, forgiveness we could never achieve, and salvation we could never accomplish for ourselves. “Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15) Thank You that through Christ we have been rescued from darkness and brought into Your kingdom. (Colossians 1:13-14) Thank You that our names are written in heaven. (Luke 10:20) Thank You that nothing can separate us from Your love in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:38-39) Father, do not simply make us people who have been blessed. Make us people who know how to be grateful. When abundance comes, keep us humble. When difficulties come, keep us faithful. When prayers are answered, remind us to return and say thank You. When we receive more than we need, show us whom we can bless. Let gratitude change the way we live. May our words, generosity, worship, obedience, and treatment of others become living expressions of thanksgiving. Your Word says, “Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!” (Psalm 107:1) So today we give You thanks. For what You have done. For what You are doing. For what You have kept us from. For what You have brought us through. For what You have placed in our hands. And for what You are preparing that we cannot yet see. You have been faithful in every season. You are faithful today. And You will remain faithful tomorrow. May we never become so consumed with what we still want that we forget to praise You for what we already have. With grateful hearts, we declare: “The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad.” (Psalm 126:3) Thank You, Father, for Your goodness, Your mercy, Your provision, Your protection, Your presence, and above all, the gift of Your Son. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Pray with me September 21, 2026 Heavenly Father, Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Teach me today to live as a citizen of Your kingdom. Keep me from building my life around temporary things, and set my heart on what is eternal. Help me seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting You with everything else. Jesus, reign over every part of me. Rule my thoughts, my words, my desires, my decisions, my relationships, and my ambitions. Where pride wants the throne, teach me humility. Where fear wants control, give me faith. Where anger rises, produce gentleness. Where selfishness speaks, teach me to serve. Make me a person who loves my enemies, forgives quickly, gives generously, speaks truthfully, walks humbly, and shows mercy. Let the fruit of Your Spirit be visible in the ordinary moments of my day. Remind me that Your kingdom is not merely something I am waiting to enter someday. Through Christ, I belong to You now. Therefore, let my life reflect the King I serve. Give me eyes to see people as You see them. Show me where I can bring peace into conflict, hope into discouragement, truth into confusion, and light into darkness. Make me faithful when no one notices and obedient when obedience costs me something. Father, keep me from confusing worldly success with kingdom faithfulness. I do not want simply to be impressive. I want to be obedient. I do not want merely to accomplish great things. I want to hear You say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” May righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit characterize my life. May my home reflect Your kingdom. May my work honor Your kingdom. May my words announce Your kingdom. May my hands serve Your kingdom. Today, I surrender my plans to Yours. Use what I have. Send me where You desire. Interrupt me when necessary. Correct me when I wander. Strengthen me when I grow weary. And whatever this day brings, remind me that I serve a King whose throne cannot be shaken, whose promises cannot fail, and whose kingdom will have no end. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Pray with me September 16, 2026 Father, You are the God who restores what is broken, renews what is weary, and brings life out of places that seemed dead. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit (Psalm 51:12). Heal the wounds I have carried, redeem the years that have been lost, and rebuild every place in me that fear, failure, disappointment, or sin has torn down. You promised, “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten” (Joel 2:25), so I trust You with what I cannot recover on my own. Restore my heart to holiness, my mind to truth, my strength to purpose, my relationships to grace, and my steps to Your path. Where I have wandered, bring me home. Where I have grown cold, kindle the fire again. Where I have become discouraged, renew my hope. Where I have fallen, lift me by Your mercy. Make me like David, able to say, “He restores my soul” (Psalm 23:3). I will not live looking backward at what was lost, because in Christ You are making all things new. Take what the enemy meant for evil and use even that for Your glory. Establish the work of my hands, renew a steadfast spirit within me, and let the days ahead bear testimony that my Redeemer is still restoring, still rebuilding, and still making beauty from ashes. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Facts.
Grief works differently for every person. I posted this last year.  It may be a good reminder as we remember Charlie’s martyrdom and the 3,000 people killed during 9/11. Good morning.  The reason you feel Charlie’s death so deeply is because grief doesn’t measure itself by proximity. It measures itself by meaning. You didn’t have to know him personally to feel the sting of his absence, because when a voice like his goes silent, something in the atmosphere shifts. The reason it feels heavier than so many other tragedies is because your spirit recognizes that this is not just about a man, it is about a battle. Scripture says eternity is written on our hearts, and when someone who carried truth with boldness is suddenly gone, eternity aches within us. It’s like our souls know instinctively that the darkness celebrated, and that strikes us at the core. The reason you can’t shake it is because psychologically, we don’t only attach ourselves to people…we attach ourselves to symbols. Charlie became a symbol of conviction in a time of compromise, courage in a time of fear. And when a symbol is struck down, it rattles something primal and eternal inside us. That’s why even those who never met him feel it. There is a strange thread pulling at us, and it is not imagined. It is real. We are bound together by shared purpose, by shared longing for truth, by the Spirit of God Himself weaving us into a fabric that cannot be torn apart. This loss pulled at that fabric, and every one of us felt the tug. So if you’ve wondered why this hits so hard, it’s because your soul knows. This is bigger than news. This is bigger than politics. This is about eternity, about truth, and about the weight of a man whose life carried both. Love y’all.

Pray with me August 28, 2026 Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before You believing that You are still the God who breaks chains, opens prison doors, heals the brokenhearted, and sets captives free. Jesus, You declared that You came “to proclaim liberty to the captives” (Luke 4:18). So today we stand on the freedom You purchased at the cross. Where sin has enslaved, bring deliverance. Where shame has imprisoned, speak grace. Where fear has controlled, release courage. Where lies have built strongholds, let the light of Your truth tear them down. Lord, remind us that “if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36). We refuse to live as prisoners to things Christ has already defeated. Sin will not have dominion over us. Condemnation does not own us. Our past does not define us. Jesus Christ is Lord. And Father, make us instruments of that freedom. Give us courage to walk into dark places carrying the light of Christ. Give us compassion for those who are bound, patience with those who are struggling, and boldness to proclaim the gospel that breaks the power of darkness. You have delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of Your beloved Son (Colossians 1:13). Now send us out to proclaim freedom to others. Break chains today, Lord. Open doors no human being can open. Restore minds, redeem lives, reconcile families, awaken hearts, and call prodigals home. May captives discover that their chains are no match for the finished work of Jesus Christ. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. In the mighty and victorious name of Jesus, amen.

Pray with me August 21, 2026 Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, humbled by the greatness of Your grace. We confess that we are guilty. We have sinned, fallen short of Your glory, and have nothing in ourselves that could ever earn Your mercy. Yet while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Thank You for Jesus. We praise You, Lord Jesus, because You are the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. You are our Savior, our Redeemer, our righteousness, and our hope. You took the judgment we deserved and gave us a grace we could never deserve. You bore our sin on the cross, conquered death through Your resurrection, and opened the way for guilty sinners to be reconciled to a holy God. Father, thank You that our failures are not greater than Your mercy, that our sin is not stronger than the blood of Christ, and that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Thank You that where sin increased, grace abounded all the more. Keep us humble before You. Never let us become casual about the price that was paid for our salvation. Teach us to live with gratitude, obedience, and worship. May our lives continually declare, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain.” Jesus, You alone are worthy of our praise. You alone are our hope. You alone are enough. In the mighty and beautiful name of Jesus, amen.

For those who need it, this is a small excerpt from my my book, Born For Meaning: “Joel 2:25 says, “I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” God never promised to give you yesterday back. But He did promise that He could make your tomorrows fruitful again. That the years ahead could carry a purpose your past never could. He’s a Redeemer, not a time traveler. And that’s better, friend. Because what He builds forward is stronger than what you lost behind. Let Today Be Enough You don’t have to sprint toward healing. You don’t have to fake joy. You don’t have to smile when it still stings. But let today be enough to say: “I won’t keep reliving what I can’t fix. I’ll let God meet me where I am.” So maybe you breathe. Maybe you take a walk. Maybe you scroll past that picture this time. Maybe you stop asking “What if?” and start asking, “What now?” That’s a holy shift.

Pray with me August 12, 2026 Father, I praise You for grace, Your unearned and undeserved favor toward me. I could never earn righteousness, repair my sin, or make myself worthy of You. Yet while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me (Romans 5:8). Thank You that I am saved by grace through faith, not by my works, so there is no room for boasting, only gratitude (Ephesians 2:8-9). Thank You that Jesus did not merely give me another chance to save myself. He accomplished what I could never accomplish. He bore my sin, satisfied the demands of justice, and clothed me in His righteousness. Because I am in Christ, there is now no condemnation for me (Romans 8:1). I am justified by grace, adopted into Your family, and set free from the dominion of sin. Sin may still tempt me, but it no longer owns me. My failures do not have the final word. Jesus does. And Father, teach me that grace is not permission to remain unchanged. Your grace trains me to say no to ungodliness and to live a life that honors You (Titus 2:11-12). Let the grace that forgives me also transform me. Let the grace that saved me sustain me. Let the grace that found me keep producing holiness, humility, obedience, and love in me. Today I refuse to live as a slave trying to earn what Christ has already purchased. I receive Your grace, stand in Your freedom, and rest in the finished work of Jesus. “For freedom Christ has set us free.” (Galatians 5:1) In Jesus’ name, amen.

Pray with me August 5, 2026 Heavenly Father, We praise You because the victory is already won through Jesus Christ. Thank You that by His death and resurrection, sin has been defeated, death has lost its sting, and the powers of darkness have been overcome. Your Word declares that “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5), and that “thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57). Strengthen our hearts to walk in that victory each day. Let us not live in fear, but in the confidence that Christ has conquered the grave and that nothing can separate us from Your love. Clothe us with the armor of God, fill us with the Holy Spirit, and make us steadfast, joyful, and faithful until the day we see our victorious King face to face. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Pray with me July 27, 2026 Heavenly Father, You are the God of all hope. When the path ahead seems uncertain, remind us that You are already there. Lift our eyes above our fears and fix our hearts on Your promises. Let the hope we have in Christ anchor our souls, steady our minds, and strengthen our faith. Teach us to trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28), and that because Jesus lives, our future is secure. Fill us with the joy and peace that come from believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit we may abound in hope (Romans 15:13). Help us to walk today with courage, confidence, and expectation, knowing that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness never fails. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen

If you are a Christian your confidence today rests on foundations that cannot be shaken. If God is for you, and He has not spared His own Son but delivered Him up for all of you, then He will graciously give you all things with Him. (Rom 8:28–39) And please don’t hear this as a platitudinal X post: it flows from the reality of your election. God chose you in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless, predestining you for adoption as His children according to His pleasure and will. The Puritan theologians are helpful here, and understood something vital about this assurance: election and covenant work together, offering troubled believers a double source of assurance; you can plead the covenant with God, asking Him to fulfill His promises, while simultaneously finding comfort in the sufficiency of His prevenient grace and the immutability of His will in election. Your election is not fragile or conditional on your performance, as I’ve said before, your salvation is received not achieved. God’s immutable decree of election proceeds from His perfect counsel, the basis for maintaining His people in sanctification and imparting to them an inward principle of holiness. Yet this absolute promise does not leave you passive. God’s love, made known to you, draws you out of yourself toward Him in orderly, faithful obedience. The conditional promises of the covenant are inseparable from your daily renewal of it through prayer, meditation, and worship. Your obedience becomes the very means by which you experience and confirm what God has already secured. Anchor yourself in the permanence of God’s word. Heaven and earth will pass away, but His words will not pass away. (Matt 24:35) All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. (2 Tim 3:16–17) In this word, your election is declared, your redemption is promised, and your perseverance is guaranteed — not by your strength, but by His.

Pray with me July 19, 2026 Heavenly Father, You have been faithful from the first breath You gave us until this very moment. Before we knew Your name, You knew ours. Before we learned to trust You, Your hand was already leading us. Through seasons of joy and sorrow, strength and weakness, certainty and waiting, You have never once abandoned Your children. Lord, as the years pass and our bodies grow weaker, let our faith grow stronger. As our hair turns gray and our steps become slower, let our hearts become steadier in Your promises. Keep us from fearing what comes with age, for Your Word declares, “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you” (Isaiah 46:4). Teach us to treasure every day You give us. May we not cling to fading youth, but rejoice that we are one day closer to seeing Christ face to face. Let each wrinkle remind us of Your sustaining grace, each scar testify to Your preserving mercy, and each passing year proclaim that You have never failed. Father, make us fruitful in old age. Like the righteous described in Psalm 92, may we still bear fruit, remain fresh and full of life, declaring that the Lord is upright, our Rock, in whom there is no unrighteousness. May younger generations see in us lives marked by humility, steadfast hope, and unwavering confidence in Jesus Christ. Guard our hearts from bitterness, regret, and despair. Replace every fear of tomorrow with confidence in Your sovereign care. Remind us that the God who carried us through yesterday will carry us through every tomorrow until the day You welcome us home. Thank You that our outward bodies may waste away, but our inward selves are being renewed day by day. Thank You that our inheritance cannot perish, spoil, or fade. Thank You that nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. May our final years be our most faithful years, our deepest years of worship, our richest years of wisdom, and our clearest testimony to Your unfailing love. We trust You with our youth. We trust You with our age. We trust You with our final breath, knowing that the One who has been faithful all our lives will be faithful forever. In the mighty and glorious name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Pray with me July 11, 2026 Heavenly Father, Cause my life to bear much fruit for Your glory. Keep me abiding in Christ, that every word, every work, and every season of my life would reflect Your goodness and Your grace. Let me flourish like a tree planted by streams of living water, steadfast and fruitful in every good work. Bless this life, not for my comfort, but that I may faithfully serve You, proclaim Your truth, and make Your name known to the next generation. Strengthen my hands for the work You have prepared for me, renew my spirit day by day, and keep me faithful until the very end. May I finish my race with joy, having glorified Christ in all things. Let every remaining breath be spent for Your kingdom, until I stand in Your presence and hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Pray with me July 3, 2026 Heavenly Father, Thank You that in Christ there is no chain Your grace cannot break. Your Word declares, “Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.” Today, we stand in that promise, no longer prisoners of sin, fear, shame, guilt, or the opinions of this world, but sons and daughters redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Teach us to walk in the freedom You have already purchased for us. May we never return to the bondage from which You have delivered us. Fill our hearts with courage, our minds with truth, and our lives with joyful obedience, so that the world may see the freedom that only Christ can give. May we live each day as people who have truly been set free, for Your glory alone. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen
