President Zelensky refusing to surrender 20% of his country to Russia is not an “obstacle.” Russia demanding 20% of Ukraine is. You’re welcome. And #SlavaUkraïni

Just to be clear about what happened here: - Trump cut a deal with Putin that will route ~$4B of American dollars to Russia. That money will be used to fund the war. - Trump announced an "energy ceasefire" that was probably Putin's idea, surprised the Ukrainians, is structured to benefit Russia, and was immediately broken by the Russian military. - When Zelensky spoke candidly about these terrible deals, the US cut off Starlink access in ways that made it harder for Ukraine to intercept Russian drones, and seemingly withheld intel about ballistic missile attacks. - Last week alone, Russia killed more than 150 civilians in Ukraine, including 33 in one strike on a bus stop. Trump is de facto asking @ZelenskyyUa to surrender. Zelensky can throw on a suit, he can endure lectures from whiny little bitches like @JDVance, but he can't lay down and die just because Trump wants the Nobel Peace Prize.
I fear that President Zelensky has gotten terrible advice on handling his relations with President Trump, and at the absolute worst possible time before what looks like a very difficult winter.

The Trump administration is delaying the release of detailed data showing how Republicans’ 2025 tax cuts affected millions of Americans’ taxes, even as it tries to sell voters on the law ahead of the midterms. politico.com/news/2026/10/14…

NEW: A half dozen GOP senators — Tillis, Collins, Armstrong, Murkowski, McConnell and Cornyn — sign onto a letter w/ Dems urging Trump to back out of his Russian oil deal. "This deal is a gift to our adversary and a betrayal of our Allies; it should be rescinded."

Today, there was a statement from the President of the United States that an energy ceasefire has been secured. This is good news for everyone – and it is important that it become reality. Unfortunately, Ukrainian skies have been infested with Russian “shaheds” all day today. There have been glide bomb strikes and strikes on our energy infrastructure too. A power plant in Kharkiv was attacked this evening. Overall, this past week alone, the Russians have carried out more than 200 strikes on our electricity generation and transmission facilities in Ukraine, and another 17 strikes this week targeted gas and oil facilities. They have killed more than 150 of our people, and more than 700 people have been wounded. Ukraine has proposed many de-escalatory steps. Putin had one answer to all of them – “nyet.” We do hope that he will finally say something to America, Ukraine, and the entire world that will lead to a real and dignified peace. Ukraine wants peace. The question is whether Russia does. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have received all the appropriate orders. We are awaiting clear details of the dialogue between America and Russia – and we expect Putin to follow through on what President Trump said.

2018: Putin admits that Trump should win the election. Question: "Did you want President Trump to win the election? And did you direct any of your officials to help him do that?" Putin: "Yes, I did. He spoke about the normalization of relations between the U.S. and Russia."

Today, Russia expressed its thanks for the lifting of sanctions on diesel exports by dropping five glide bombs on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia. As of now, sadly, twelve people have been confirmed killed, including three children. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Another fourteen people have been injured, and two of them are in critical condition – the doctors are fighting to save their lives. The status of twelve more people who may have been there is still being verified. All emergency services are at the scene, and search-and-rescue operations are underway. Overnight, thirteen of our regions came under attack. Residential buildings, infrastructure, and railway facilities have been damaged. Last night confirmed once again that in Russia, they take any easing of pressure to mean they can keep fighting, to mean they can keep dropping bombs on cities. Different signals are needed. Russia must understand that it needs to stop the war, and for that to happen, Russia must feel its losses. Right now, it is our long-range capabilities that are ensuring this. And we will respond to Russian strikes. I thank everyone who is helping.

BREAKING: More than 2,000 US Marines are now heading to the Middle East aboard the Makin Island amphibious ready group, with a US official saying three aircraft carriers and two amphibious landing groups will be deployed around Iran by November for new operations. The official says that with that force concentrated in the region, "leaders will have many options for dealing with Iran."

The fact that Ukraine stopped destroying Russia's oil refineries FOR TRUMP even while Russia ramps up the destruction of Ukraine's power plants isn't enough for Putin's dog in the White House. Again, spends the day again berating Ukraine for the high fuel prices that are actually caused by his war in Iran.

The VP is being incredibly dishonest. Undocumented immigrant are not eligible for Social Security. Period. In fact, they pay billions of dollars into Social Security in their paychecks that they will never get back. They are a net fiscal benefit to the program!
.@VP: "If you are encouraging illegal aliens to sign up for Social Security and steal Social Security benefits, you're not protecting Social Security, you're destroying it — so cut that shit out and be honest about your intentions." 💯

Ihor Romanenko, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces, explains that following his conversation with Putin, Trump blocked transfer of 3,000 air-to-surface missiles intended for targeting Russia's ballistic missile launchers.
