TGR Haas F1 Team reserve driver Ryō Hirakawa will replace Esteban Ocon for the remainder of the weekend’s Mexico City Grand Prix.
Ryō participated in FP1 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Friday, his third free practice outing of the season driving the VF-26, finishing 15th overall.
The Japanese driver will partner teammate Ollie Bearman through final practice and qualifying on Saturday and Sunday’s 71-lap grand prix – marking Ryō's Formula 1 race debut.

Io non vedo l’ora che arrivino le 22:30 / 22:45 di domani sera solo per vedere rosicare tanta gente che storcerà il naso dinnanzi ad Antonelli campione del mondo e con lo stesso numero di vittorie (e presto saranno di più) di qualcun’altro che sta in F1 praticamente da quasi 10 anni. Io non ce l’ho con Charles sia chiaro, come pilota lo stimo molto da sempre, me la prendo con chi da anni ha costruito una narrazione falsa su di lui.
