Statement attributable to the FIFA President
The FIFA Forward Enterprise project was intended to provide a basis for further strengthening our FIFA Member Associations and our sport worldwide, especially in those countries where support is most needed. And more so, as we said from the outset, to do this only if a majority of the FIFA Member Associations were in support and always subject to a consultation process with them, the FIFA Council, the Confederations and wider stakeholders.
Having listened carefully to all the views, it has become clear that the project has created divisions of a nature that, regardless of the level of support, are no longer in the interest of the objective set out in the first place.
Our purpose has always been - and will always be - to unite and improve.
As a result, this proposal will not proceed.
Moving forward, my intent is to bring all interested parties back together in the coming days and weeks in the spirit of shared interest in our game, and with the objective to continue growing football everywhere, particularly in those countries that mostly need our support.

This is the first time that an open model is ahead of all proprietary ones for this comprehensive web engineering benchmark.
Notes:

I might've stealth tested GPT 5.6 Sol today.
After 1pm PST the GPT 5.5 (extra high) is working surprisingly good.
It is finding flaws in Fable work and Fable admitted the oversights.
I can sense the tone of the model is different.
It is not spitting out large chunks of code.
It plans, then critiques the plan until satisfied and then acts on it. I feel like the execution is 1.5x faster that GPT 5.5.
This "measure twice, cut once" approach was missing in GPT 5.5.
I am using Fable as orchestrator, GPT 5.5 as executor and the workflow is really good.
I've made 3 days of progress in last 5 hours. No kidding.

We benchmarked the GitHub Copilot agentic harness against the harnesses that ship leading models natively.
Holding the model and task fixed across SWE-bench Verified, SWE-bench Pro, SkillsBench, TerminalBench, and Win-Hill, the results were clear:
✅ Task resolution on par with model-vendor harnesses
✅ Fewer tokens across most configurations
💡 A key learning: With GitHub Copilot supporting more than 20 models, you're free to pick efficiency or peak quality per task.
