Periodic reminder: if you have 1689 in your profile and can’t behave publicly in a way that is edifying and done out of love, you aren’t truly 1689

That time @TrueMessiahMin made a video thinking he was going to correct me and totally face planted and exposed his aberrant theology.
Several Baptist pastors and elders have made the claim this week that it is not a sin for Christians to eat/drink blood.
We search the scriptures to see if this claim is true or false according to the Bible.
Special thanks to @CovenantReform2 and @dhanabarger for the inapiration for this video.

Very revealing thread. @BrysonGray trying to make grok agree with him almost as hard as he tries to make scripture and church history agree with him.
Dude just called the apostles, The church fathers and the vast majority of Christians in history, lawless.
Lawless so-called christians like @dhanabarger and @CovenantReform2 won’t admit this
I guess people just bring dogs in stores now. I thought that was something people knew not to do, but apparently not.
I made my first youtube video by just stating the historic Christian position! Thank you @TrueMessiahMin for making this video. More people need to understand the true gospel contrasted with error. Thank you for allowing me and @CovenantReform2 the opportunity to help expose it. You get 1 free unblock for this. I don't give them out very easily. 😉

awe dang, only 2 likes in the past 2 hours. Guess my 1,185 followers, plus your 468 followers (456 on twitter plus 11 on Youtube-one of which is mine) isn't enough to generate that much interest.
We aren't that important bro, relax and sit under a wise teacher for a while. I was your age once. I wish someone had told me this.
“There is no God” - psalm 14:1.
I’m just quoting scripture 🤷♂️

If the law is difficult to keep then God lied. It's really that simple.
Ancient heresies never go away. They just rebrand.
In this case, pelagianism is now called provisionism.
Reminder: anti-calvinists are the experts. Don't trust what you think you believe; they understand you and your tradition better than you do, let them tell you what you actually believe.

But you do. Lol you call it something else but you do believe it
Yes
Maybe we’re all liberal, then?
One of the more interesting aspects of this rather fluid definition of liberalism is that “cultural outlook” needn’t be a specific cultural outlook.
Which is why when @ZacharyGarris and his sort of patriarchalist speak in this way, it’s important to be reminded that those who believe they’re immune from cultural bias are often the ones most susceptible to exactly that.
For example, Garris’s perspective that women working outside the home is “feminism” has nothing to do with scripture or even the vast majority of church history. Instead, it’s largely derived from overly-romanticized Victorian sensibilities brought about by 19th century industrialization.
So, according to this definition of liberalism, I can’t help but see that at least some aspects of his patriarchalism must be considered New Liberalism.
Of course, all of this is why we should try not to define truth OR error by looking to culture.
This is a good reminder if you’re looking at 2026 California or 1850 Georgia. This is a good reminder if your tendency is to adopt the culture of today or the remembered culture of a favored time period (mythologized or not). Similarly, it’s a good reminder if your tendency is to just counter-signal whatever is going on today, as if the measuring stick is simply a contrarian and grumpy attitude toward the society we live in now.
Well said
Christian discernment ministries are basically helicopter parents who show up like your mom at a middle-school dance, hovering three feet behind you, scanning the room for anything that might be “off.”
They’re not actually protecting anyone. They’re performing protection the same way cable news performs “breaking news.” Everything is urgent, everything is a threat, everything needs their take or you’re one podcast away from apostasy. It’s cancel culture holding a study Bible.
And the part that drives me nuts is they don’t actually want you to get better at thinking. They want you dependent on *their* thinking. Because as long as you need them to pre-chew every book, every speaker, every idea that crosses your feed, they stay relevant. Paranoia is the product. If you stop being scared of the wrong kind of worship music, they lose the customer.
They’re gatekeepers, sure. Just the kind that make the gate smaller so they can charge admission.
It's so good to see how the trump administration has raised the dignity of the office.
Remember that time republicans freaked out because Obama put his feet up on the desk in the oval office because it was "undignified"?
Good times.
