Being coachable means you're willing to consider feedback even if you don't like what you hear. It means resisting the urge to make excuses or get defensive when challenged. Getting better is more important than your ego. You'd rather get it right than be right.

2 guys who have played HS and AAU basketball and a total of ZERO HS football games have picked up football offers from #UGA this week.
What’s that tell you?
If you’re a 6’3-6’6 guy playing in the post…stop by and see your football coaches this week🔥

One day a teammate or coach will have a choice to recommend you, hire you or not to hire you. They will remember if you were dependable, committed, a complainer, selfish, a team player, and what you did when no one was around. Who you are today impacts your tomorrow.

Student-athletes who skip class, hide in the weight room, disrespect teachers, and make excuses are bad teammates. How you do one thing, is how you’ll do everything. You can’t flip the switch. Being a winner is about being consistently good.

Being HELD ACCOUNTABLE is very frustrating when you use to doing what you want to when you want to.

Every coach knows the feeling, offseason discipline is a lonely job. Holding the standard year-round wears on you and them. But we don’t do it to be liked. We do it because we care. Complacency kills potential. And real love never lets athletes settle.

Lane Kiffin knows how strong a father’s love is. At Monte Kiffin’s funeral services, Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks said that Monte was the only defensive coordinator he had in Tampa Bay, & that’s when it hit Lane… His father would only leave Tampa for him.
Monte Kiffin had head coaching offers & many opportunities to leave Tampa Bay. He refused to go, but he finally left & take a pay cut at the University of Tennessee to be his son’s defensive coordinator. Monte had everything he wanted in Tampa, & he gave it all up for Lane.

We’ve had a lot of athletes that did not make it out of HS regionals in Texas, yet went on to be NCAA qualifiers and future All Americans. Decide that you will not be defined by this moment and get ready to work for an even brighter future! #trackandfield #RallyTheValley #NCAAD1

Nick Saban nailed it.
- Entitlement gets you nothing.
- Excuses get you nothing.
- Lack of effort gets you nothing.
Show up. Lock in. Do the work.
