waiting for dust to cause a flash over on insulators at substations and hv poles, causing power failures is stupid.
maybe doing some preventative maintainence would solve the issue.
Has anyone ever seen this?
I filmed it last night. It's a maintenance crew moving along a street in Geelong, power-pole, by power-pole, doing what appears to be ‘washing’ the insulators.
Is it for efficiency, fire risk management, perhaps @PowercorAust can enlighten us?
