Elon Musk represents absolutely no one here in the Scotland, the UK nor indeed in the US. He isn’t elected by anyone to do anything in the political spectrum Being the richest just proves it doesn’t make you either clever, brave or wise.

Elon Musk openly called for violence on our streets yesterday. I hope politicians from all parties come together to condemn his deeply dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric. Britain must stand united against this clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

She’s at Mile End, which is on its way out of London to the east of central line. At 0920 in the morning. After everyone has gone to work
Totally empty tube carriage at 9.20 on a Tuesday morning. Don’t quite know what it says but it can’t be a good thing.

London isn’t in rude health; it has struggled post covid. Retail spend is down. Office occupancy has changed. But it’s still London

“Still an issue.” Like you’re describing a leaky shower head or a slightly loud fridge. Sublime

I see the word 'port' thrown around regarding #Cyberpunk2077 on #NintendoSwitch2 and it's not correct -- this is a full platform support, with elements of the game rebuilt to make it run well and look great on the platform, including touchscreen, gyroscope, motion controls! 🥰

I can only apologise for the wretched customer service and pledge to do better. In my defence I would note that Abercrombie & Fitch are a clothing store while I, Joe Abercrombie, am an entirely unconnected fantasy author.

A phone thief snatched a mobile near London Bridge… just up the road from an unmarked police car. He got arrested in under 60 seconds and the owner got their phone back.

(Rubs temples) I come back briefly to Twitter to see this and think “oh good”. I’m not astrophysicist- but the sun, that blazing ball of incredible science at the centre of our solar system. Is roughly speaking 4.5bn years old & ie halfway through its existence.
Musk: And eventually, all life on Earth will be destroyed by the sun. It's gradually expanding, we do at some point have to be multi-planetary civilization because Earth will be incinerated…

So, by the time it expands to a red giant, thus obliterating all sense of our solar system & reducing us to a cinder, it is likely we will have either evolved beyond this dimension or flat out fucked ourselves. Or like, random chaotic event gets us. Big rock for the first in etc

We have a really big time window to discover everything we need to go pan-galactic but a limited psychology to enable us to do it.

THREAD: As India launches strikes against Pakistan tonight, misinformation is rapidly spreading online. I'll fact-check viral falsehoods in this thread. This video, viewed over 160,000 times, shows Israeli air strikes on Gaza in October 2023. It's unrelated to tonight's strikes.
