How much more evidence do people need to recognize that private equity is terrible for healthcare? This is sickening.
“Private-equity investment in nursing homes has grown from about $5 billion at the turn of the century to more than $100 billion today. The results have not been pretty.”

Are there any other indigenous palliative physicians out there?
I am curious because I really don’t know. I am Native Hawaiian. I am helping a Native American who is planning to apply this year to fellowship. I would like to network.

Endometriosis affects millions of women and girls. But we don't talk about it. I'm proud to have been an executive producer of "Below the Belt," a documentary airing on PBS on June 21 that breaks the silence. Don't miss this moving, informative, and infuriating film. pbs.org/show/below-belt-last…

Hey @Ethicon- your device rep came to my office asking to schedule lunch with my two male partners. I introduced myself as a surgeon with the group and he confirmed either of the men would be fine. That doesn’t sound like a particularly smart way to do business, now does it?? 🤔

I was just asked to be on The National to discuss Roe and abortion...and then I found out it would be a panel with a "pro-life/anti-abortion" voice. I am livid and sent this reply. I couldn't care less if this means I will not be asked back to the CBC. It needed to be said.
