I don’t think ram V has every said such a thing without laying out other blind spots the casual fan don’t consider in their conclusions. What your doing in your tweet is singling him out instead of discussing why does piracy exists in the first place.
If you stand behind what you previously said about supporting piracy, why not make all your creator-owned work available for free and let people choose whether to pay? Why even put a price on the book at all?
It just comes off as hypocritical to support piracy for your DC-published work, knowing you got paid regardless, but not promote it for your creator-owned work, where sales actually matter.
We have to stop being so bias towards the benefits of piracy and began to have a serious discussion on what. ..Produces …Privacy … that would be the collectors market / that’s price pumping / that’s variant covers / that’s so many things we gloss over …
