I’m working on a AD&D retroclone named Bhakashal. I have completed the Bhakashal Spell Book, the Players Manual and Setting Manual are on the way. Search on lulu.com or drivethrurpg.com for “Bhakashal” to get the Spell Book and support my work.

This Day in D&D History, October 26! 🎲 On this day, many moons ago, a new adventurer entered the campaign. His name? YoDanno. Class: Paladin ⚔️ Alignment: Lawful Good (with occasional alignment checks) Special Abilities: Defending the Old School, recovering lost TSR lore, and turning undead editions. Current Status: Still alive. Somehow. Today marks another successful trip around the sun, and the Dungeon Master hasn’t killed me off yet! Here’s hoping there are plenty more adventures ahead. Thanks for being part of my party, everyone. ❤️🎲

Crom! What better way to fix the Timeline than with what is best in life.
"Oh, you think you can fix the timeline with some Frank Frazetta art?"

I love how time has provided a point that books like this / the FF and avengers will get discussions like this that discover the run was better than discussed before …
Ron Frenz and Brett Breeding Thor was magnificent, a lightning in a bottle run. Frenz had the chops to draw big action. This is one of my favorite runs of all time. That cover is in my top 10z

Brand New Post! City State of the Invincible Overlord (1976-1983) was the first "Go Big" urban D&D campaign. A Judges Guild triumph, CSIO was a huge, detailed, living, city. A deep-dive post at my photoblog; link in the comments.

You get your money’s worth with this book, it’s just fantastic art, Frenz has the juice. DeFalco wrote big, kinetic stories drenched in Marvel lore. Frenz channeled Kirby and brought it home.

Leir and the other gods introduced in this title were a great addition to the Marvel Universe, it’s a shame they weren’t picked up by other writers.

This Day in Fantasy Gaming History, October 25, 1984 No DM. No party. Just you, a pencil, and some increasingly questionable decisions. Ian Livingstone’s Caverns of the Snow Witch arrived in its expanded book form, sending adventurers into the Icefinger Mountains to stop a new ice age. And LOOK at that Les Edwards cover. That’s trouble worth spending your pocket money on. Of course, we ALL accepted our first death gracefully instead of keeping a finger on the previous page. Right? 😂 Who else remembers these, and how many fingers did you need to “save” your game?
