This is the interview where he agreed he will keep the float.
One minute he says he won’t float.
Another minute he says he will keep the float.
The 3rd minute he says he will float gradually.
Never consistent in anything.
Just wait for another interview where he will be asked about his stance on student loan.
Replying to @PainGone4Good @Bond_not_james
and here he is saying he will defend the naira and not float it. and he was asked again, in a different interview with @OjyOkpe one thing he will not undo, he said floating. teapawt.org/clearmindnotes/status/…

How did we come to the conclusion that Sheikh is the richest Islamic cleric, and since when did it become a thing of pride for a Muslim cleric to be described with wealth?

Anyone in that camp is either unintelligent or a hypocrite.
You didn’t become an APC data boy because you supported economic reforms. You became one when you started confusing support for a policy with approval of its execution.
@PeterObi explicitly promised to remove fuel subsidy in 2023. He never denied that. His argument was that the removal should be accompanied by relief measures to cushion the impact on Nigerians. That’s not deceit; it’s a disagreement over implementation.
On exchange rates, Obi advocated devaluation but cautioned against floating the naira without first addressing supply constraints and market distortions.
These are legitimate economic disagreements, not evidence of hypocrisy.
Even the IMF acknowledged that the reforms came with high inflation, a depreciating naira and worsening food insecurity, while stressing the importance of proper sequencing and social protection.
If your political conviction changes depending on who occupies Aso Rock, that’s not economic consistency; that’s political allegiance dressed up as economic analysis.
You can defend Tinubu’s policies without rewriting Obi’s positions to justify your political conversion.

I’ve said it several times that I supported Peter Obi in 2022/23 because of his economic policies.
Fortunately or unfortunately, Tinubu got into power and started implementing those policies I had looked forward to Obi implementing.
I publicly backed those policies, cause I believe they were in the best interest of the country.
On the other hand, the same Peter Obi I once supported started speaking against these policies he once campaigned with.
I publicly called out that deceitful behaviour.
Ladies and gentlemen, that’s how I became an APC data boy.
This was Tinubu over a decade ago.
The problem is if you ask Obi today, he will deny everything he said in that video.
He will say giving loans to the “children of the poor” is bad.
Once you take away the “corruption” in the university system, you will see that government can provide free education
He’s a duplicitous character who just panders to what the masses want to hear.
At least Tinubu is consistent with his policies. Many of the things he’s doing currently can be traced back decades.
