Well this is embarrassing. I didn't realise you could treat viral illnesses more easily if you saw them early. Best get that magic wand ready then, eh?
Replying to @AmandaPritchard
But the public can play their part too - please do seek help when you need it. We would rather see you sooner when viruses are easier to treat, than later when it is more difficult.

It seems crazy that this needs to be pointed out but it’s true.

50 people a day are dying because of delays in A&E, analysis used by senior doctors has found. The annual winter crisis in the NHS has turned into a full blown national emergency. How has this been normalised and allowed to happen every single year? thetimes.com/uk/healthcare/a…

Couldn’t have said it better myself!
Replying to @AmandaPritchard
So why did you cripple the flu campaign which was to be delivered by GPs instead to vacc centres at double the cost with less coverage? Why are you acting like winter is unexpected? Do you not own a calendar? FFS. You think anyone believes your glossy media campaign?

So so sad, I’m so sorry. The NHS is SUCH a mess right now 😭
I’ve taken a couple of months to make the decision but I’ve decided, for my mental health and overall wellbeing, I’m leaving the NHS in August

It think we need both better palliative care in the UK and choice in dying. They are not mutually exclusive.

Not that I ever planned to vote @TheGreenParty but if I did, it certainly would put me off that they seem to think medical intervention in childbirth is a bad thing rather than a positive, indeed excellent, thing…

I’ve signed. Please consider signing if you haven’t already. @NHSPracHealth is such an important resource.
The incredible @NHSPracHealth has saved lives, saved careers & supported so many staff. Now the funding is due to be cut for secondary care staff. Please consider signing this open letter to @nhsengland. Huge thanks to @doctor_oxford for her eloquence and speed getting this done

NHS England is rolling back its mental health support for NHS hospital staff. No new patients will be accepted....given the parlous state of services and how some staff can be broken by their work this seems a backwards step.

This is disastrous, hideous news. NHS England are hacking back the mental health support for hospital staff. One doctor takes their life every three weeks. One nurse takes their life every single week. These numbers will now INCREASE. @VictoriaAtkins - please do the right thing.

Tell me you grew up in the @Alanis era without telling me blah blah…FiancΓ© T1DM. Tonight he was complaining he has loads of Novorapid left but is nearly out of Levemir- this is the top of our fridge door. Cue me singing β€˜it’s like 10,000 orange pens when all you need is a green’

I’m off work this week following the unexpected death of my dad 2 days ago- dealing with the unending admin, organising his funeral, handling my grief. This is what my work email looks like. (They got a very sharp β€˜no’)
