Warren Buffett once made a $500,000 open bet:
"No manager can choose a set of at least five actively managed funds that would beat the Vanguard S&P500 index fund after fees, over one decade."
@tseides was the only person who took up the bet.

Read about the surprising origins of many of Machine Learning’s foundational algorithms here. Many algorithms were invented long before digital computers. I also found the first application of logistic regression, K-means and other algorithms fascinating!

Today, a jury did the right thing. But true justice requires much more. Michelle and I send our prayers to the Floyd family, and we stand with all those who are committed to guaranteeing every American the full measure of justice that George and so many others have been denied.

This is such an important point @stevesi makes. People who say "don't ship your org chart" are getting it completely backwards. The reality is you will always ship your org chart. So put a lot of thought into that chart!

A lesson it took me too long to learn:
Liking someone does not mean you'll like working with them... or work well with them.
When choosing collaborators, don't forget to consider how dependable they are—and whether they have different skills but similar values.
