There is a decent leader waiting in the wings in Australia There is no room for Trumps MAGA personal attacks in parliament Thank you Andrew Hastie
Ben Roberts-Smith rat informant Andrew Hastie just used the horrific attack on Helen Haines to lecture the country about “doing better” and ditching the “nasty personal politics of MAGA” and Donald Trump. Hastie told Parliament we must “play the ball, not the person,” model better democratic traditions, and reject the “targeted destruction of character” he associates with Trump. He called the assault on Haines (who has lost both legs) a warning about heated online rhetoric and urged MPs to leave American style politics behind. This is the same man One Nation and plenty of veterans already call a rat for the evidence he gave against Victoria Cross recipient Ben Roberts-Smith. Now he’s trashing Trump while the Coalition’s base is shifting hard toward stronger borders, cultural pushback and away from the old moderate playbook. By publicly dumping on Trump and MAGA in the middle of a crisis, Hastie is doing the exact personal, cultural attack he claims to oppose, and he’s damaging the Coalition beyond repair in the process. Voters who want a real alternative to Labor aren’t looking for another lecture on civility. They’re looking for a party that doesn’t spit on the people who might actually vote for them. And people do not like informers who dob on their mates to further their own careers, like Andrew Hastie did.

Angus Taylor Tone deaf and unacceptable as a leader in Australia for "robust debate " comments @FergusonNews @PatsKarvelas If we cannot rise to the occasion after today we will have failed the Australian people
Monique Ryan on #AfternoonBriefing calls out Angus for a poor choice of words in #QT, says they're tone-deaf Says Hanson's cartoons are unacceptable, puts sh!t (my word) out there but takes no responsibility. Says MSM should stop giving her oxygen, using her for clickbait. Yes!

A perfect day to protest Australias continued colonialism imperialism All the thing our diggers fought against in the war to end all wars #LestWeForget @StrikeClimate
Students are planning to protest against Pauline Hanson and One Nation on 11th November. Remembrance Day. There's no way the date is coincidental. It just shows what type of people these protesters are. And they call us hateful.

Translation Angus will cut spending that enables poor people to survive while Trump causes everything to get more expensive to give tax deductions to big business and the top end of town The very reason we are in our situation where aged care NDIS Housing was privatised @SocialistAllnce
Labor’s addiction to spending is driving up the cost of everything. Households are having to tighten their belts because the Government refuses to tighten its belt. The Coalition has already identified $31 billion in savings over four years to fund our tax cuts three times over. This proves substantial savings can be found without touching essential services like schools, hospitals, and aged care places. Less government waste means lower taxes, lower inflation, and lower interest rates. That’s the economic management Australia needs.

Words matter Mike Burgess director of ASIO You can't counter stupidity with evidence It is not a joke to run over our PM with a car Time to heal division not inflame it @stephhodginsmay
I wish we didn’t have to respond to this today. Our thoughts should be with Helen Haines, and praying for her speedy recovery. But the Labor and Liberal Dirt Units are already back at work, attempting to use this tragedy to silence their critics and deflect from their own failings. Too many media organisations are happy to help them fling the dirt. The Please Explain cartoons have nothing to do with the tragic attack on Helen Haines. They will not be going anywhere. Liberal and Labor politicians want our cartoons censored because they don’t like the scrutiny. Free speech, satire, criticism and debate are essential to our democracy. They must be protected. Those seeking to exploit this tragedy to silence their critics should be ashamed of themselves. What happened to Helen is heartbreaking. Politicians deserve to be safe. So does every other Australian. When violence touches politicians, the response is immediate: more security, more protection and demands for action. Where is that same urgency when ordinary Australians are attacked? Too many Australians have experienced violent home invasions, firebombings, machete and gun attacks and carjackings. Innocent Australians are being stabbed on the streets. They cannot call on a security detail. They rely on governments to keep their communities safe. Where has the Prime Minister been? Where is his determination to confront the crime and violence regular Australians face? One Nation will continue to hold the Albanese Labor government to account. We will keep speaking up for Australians whose safety and concerns have been ignored. We stand firmly against hatred, crime and violence. And we will keep working to unite all Australians under one flag.

ASIC searches show Angus Taylor was a director and secretary of Eastern Australia Agriculture. Last yr profit $28m. No tax. Sale of water licences $52m. Parent is Eastern Australia Irrigation (Cayman Isles) which appears to have received $14m in interest payments.

Palestinian Culture must and will survive. Its natural beauty is indestructible, as is the spirit. Sliman Mansour was a leading Palestinian artist whose work captured the Palestinian people’s culture of steadfastness in the face of their ongoing struggles for recognition, rights, and freedom.

Rather than holocaust education this is what our kids should be learning @JasonClareMP What do you think the world will look like in 2050 if we ignore planetary boundaries What would you like the world to look like by 2050 If only our politicians would put every piece of legislation through the same prism @StrikeClimate @XRebellionAus @Greens
I've been thinking about how little we encourage children to imagine the future. Not just prepare for it. But to actually imagine it, question it, and design it. Imagine if subjects in school asked children two simple questions: 1. If we change nothing today, what will the world look like in 2050? 2. What could that world look like if we actually set out to change it? 📖 English: Write two essays describing an ordinary day in your life in 2050. One in the world we're currently creating. Another in the world you'd WANT to inherit. 🔬 Science: What happens if we continue damaging our environment? What technologies, discoveries and scientific breakthroughs could change that trajectory? 🌍 Geography: What happens to our cities, food systems, oceans and ecosystems if current trends continue? What would a world living within planetary boundaries actually look like? 🏛️ Politics: What happens to democracy if wealth and power become increasingly concentrated? How could we redesign democratic systems to genuinely represent the people they serve? 📈 Business & Economics: What happens if we continue pursuing endless economic growth on a finite planet? Could we design an economy that creates prosperity, meaningful jobs and innovation while eliminating extreme poverty and protecting nature? 💡 Technology: What problems could humanity solve if innovation were driven by improving lives rather than simply maximising profit? How could we ensure breakthroughs benefit everyone? And then bring it all together. Let children debate their ideas. Challenge each other's assumptions. Collaborate on solutions. Design entirely new systems. Let them imagine a future that doesn't yet exist. Because here's what really strikes me. We spend an extraordinary amount of time teaching children about the world previous generations have created. But how much time do we spend encouraging them to question whether it's the world they actually want? We're constantly being told that AI is the future. But AI isn't the future. It's a tool. The real future is the billions of young people who will inherit this planet. Their imagination. Their curiosity. Their ingenuity. Their willingness to challenge what we've come to accept as inevitable. And perhaps the most important lesson we could ever teach them is this: The future isn't predetermined. It's an opportunity. A whole world of possibility. So why aren't we asking the generation who will actually live in it what kind of world they want us to create? @NEUnion @educationgovuk

One Nation The right-wing poor votes against himself with fervor, convinced that one day, he’ll be on the right side of the fence. He mistakes brutality for courage, authoritarianism for protection, injustice for merit. They sell him fear in a kit, identity on sale, anger in bulk

OneNation cancels Christmas
$2.1 MILLION for a Christmas tree. While Adelaide families struggle with rates, rents and rising costs… the City Council drops over two million dollars on a shiny new tree. This is pure excess. Retailers will feel the pressure, prices will rise, and don’t be surprised if it has a woke saying on it like “Season’s Greetings” instead of Merry Christmas. One Nation SA will get councils back to roads, rates, and rubbish. #onenation #christmas #paulinehanson #australia #southaustralia
