Thinking about biological collections lately I'm reminded of the time that somehow at age 4, I got a personal tour of the @UCBerkeley entomology collection (Essig?) from a kind scientist (anybody know who?!). Asked my parents how on earth THAT happened, and it turns out...🤯

A virus is not anyone’s instrument of moral retribution- the AIDS crisis taught that. But it is nature’s implacable bullshit detector.

Phosphine gas is used as a dopant in semiconductor manufacturing to create n-type silicon. Phosphine was just discovered in the clouds of Venus. The obvious conclusion is that there is life on Venus and it is manufacturing semiconductors. nature.com/articles/s41550-0…

People don’t get it. The only reason last month 25 people died of axes in their head was because they all asked someone if they had an axe in their head. If they hadn’t asked, they wouldn’t have died. But the Socialists don’t understand that. Remember: Don’t Ask, No Axe!
Somebody please tell Congressman Clyburn, who doesn’t have a clue, that the chart he put up indicating more CASES for the U.S. than Europe, is because we do MUCH MORE testing than any other country in the World. If we had no testing, or bad testing, we would show very few CASES..

Jim’s courage and persistence helped change America for the better. And so did every American who marched, organized, stood up, came out—or changed their own heart because they love someone who did. Happy anniversary, everybody.
Just a few moments after 10 am ET on June 26th, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down a landmark decision when they legalized same-sex marriage and struck down same-sex marriage bans across the country. In that moment, love won. Watch part one of our three part series:
