this same thing happened to Apex Legends and although it seems to shifted to obscurity in my circles, it still seems to be going strong
So where it does suck the dbd community needs shattered from what it once was, DBD still seems like it's trucking along same as always
It should be pretty alarming that a large amount of dedicated creators have just dropped DbD, especially where many of the ones that have quit were dedicated killer mains.
Normally you’ll have a few people leave periodically but just about every single mutual & friend I have has quit the game in the past few months alone. I think it really shows how unheard everyone has felt over the past year. I hope BHVR is able to get their act together in the coming months, it seems a lot of people have a very bleak outlook on DbD right now.

Fuck Tim Sweeney wanting to just fully embrace AI, shut up
I'm not a big fan of the AI badge because it is a little disingenuous because it just tracks if AI is used in the finished game, but it doesnt tell the whole picture if AI was used in concepts no?
Tim Sweeney is criticizing Valve again over Steam’s requirement for developers to disclose their use of generative AI.
The Epic Games CEO called the policy “abhorrent,” arguing that developers are being forced to make a “political statement” that could be used against them by a “hate mob.”
Sweeney has been criticizing the policy since 2025, previously comparing the disclosure to a “Scarlet Letter” and arguing that AI will eventually be part of almost every game production process.
